In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop a team engaged in the review and monitoring of accounts, collections, late charges and resolving customer disputes
  • Determine volume and profit goals with organizational impact and identify opportunities to determine appropriate course of action and conduct investigative steps to fully identify the issues within defined scope of responsibilities
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Consult regarding moderately to highly complex transactions, and determine appropriate course of action
  • Oversee team, operations, and compliance to implement strategies for the business area
  • Present recommendations to meet business objectives
  • Monitor of bankruptcy proceedings and assist in litigation proceedings
  • Participate and collaborate with peers and team regarding inquiries of moderate complexity
  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding creation of initiatives, research of service standards, market trends, and emerging issues to develop new business strategies, improve group performance of Commercial Collections team, and to meet business objectives
  • Interact directly with internal and external customers
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Commercial Collections
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Commercial Collections experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • 1+ years of commercial lending or collections experience
  • Leadership skills including coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including proficiency with data analytics and pivot tables
  • Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Proven organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills, as well as the ability to influence and negotiate
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
