GENERAL FUNCTION: Performs a variety of assigned duties and special projects within the defined framework of a management-training program involving hands-on rotations through key departments supporting Middle Market for assigned region. Becomes familiar with the business practices, operations, and procedures in each department rotation, acquiring the knowledge, skills, and experience

required for assuming a permanent role (sales or credit) in a Commercial department.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Can complete underwriting process with some revision / oversight (by the end of the 1st rotation)
  • Demonstrate ability to assess credit risk using financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, industry analysis, collateral analysis, guarantor analysis and loan structure analysis
  • Accountable for updating financial covenants as needed
  • Run Probability of Default (PD) model with oversight
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers, supporting the daily duties of underwriting and monitoring credit while performing analytical tasks as needed
  • Responsible for understanding and evaluating completed spreads to determine necessary edits
  • Responsible for identifying and recommending preliminary portfolio management actions using Credit Service reporting and RADAR with some oversight
  • Create client presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Utilize Dealpoint Profitability Analyzer to assess the client relationship and determine RAROC value.
  • Assist in identifying and qualifying prospects with Relationship Manager
  • Partner with Relationship Managers, performing projects or analytical tasks as needed
  • Draft initial deal screen / opportunity memos.
  • Build an extensive network of contacts within Commercial and supporting divisions.
  • Attend formal training classes, complete all assigned eLearning courses and participate in extensive self-learning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future
  • Graduating Class of 2026
  • GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Four-year undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Relevant internships and co-op program experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and to be flexible
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative

Location / Travel: Candidates will be required to complete rotations in assigned region with travel throughout the Bancorp footprint based on business need.

We offer a competitive base salary that is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the US. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education, and geographic location.
