What you'll do:
At NinjaTrader, we are shaping the future of futures trading. As a Competitive Intelligence Analyst, you'll play a key role in ensuring we stay at the forefront of a highly competitive industry. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented teams, drive strategic initiatives, and make an impact that directly influences the success of our business.

In this role you will:
- Track and analyze competitors across various categories including prop firms, technology platforms, data providers, and related services
- Evaluate product offerings, pricing models, feature sets, and go-to-market strategies
- Monitor industry trends in the futures trading space, including software tools, brokerage offerings, and market data
- Collect and synthesize feedback from prop firms, platform users, and traders to provide actionable insights to product and marketing teams
- Assess NinjaTrader product offerings relative to competitors to identify gaps, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Regularly report findings to key stakeholders across the company on competitive movements, industry shifts, and emerging threats
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on how to respond to competitive pressures and improve market positioning
- Collaborate closely with product development, marketing, and sales teams to align product features and messaging with customer needs and market demands
What you'll need:
- 3+ years in competitive intelligence, market research, or a related role, preferably within fintech, trading, or technology
- Experience and active history across major social media platforms including Discord, X, Instagram, Reddit and others
- Strong ability to analyze complex data, extract insights, and present findings clearly and effectively
- Familiarity with trading platforms, data providers, and software solutions within the prop trading and futures industry
- Skilled in both qualitative and quantitative research methods from various sources including public data, industry reports, and customer interaction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex findings to stakeholders
- Comfort with market research tools, databases, and CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Bonus points for:
- Experience in the futures or prop trading space is a plus
- Familiarity with futures trading platforms (e.g., NinjaTrader), prop firms (e.g., Topstep, Apex, Take Profit Trader), and technology solutions like Rithmic and dxFeed
- Experience working with large datasets and delivering actionable insights
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Compensation:
This is a contract position with a monthly compensation range of $5,000.
