Here is how the Compliance Specialist role will impact our business:

As a key member of EQT's Compliance Operations & Risk team, the Compliance Specialist will execute day-to-day Know Your Customer (KYC) operations within EQT's Third Party Diligence program for LNG & LPG counterparties and approved high-risk exceptions — tracking diligence requests, resolving missing counterparty documentation, and performing sanctions screening and Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and supporting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD). This role is responsible for maintaining scalable, consistent throughput on high-volume, recurring diligence obligations, administering Compliance Operations & Risk case intake and reporting, and maintaining data quality in EQT's compliance systems (Salesforce). As the Third Party Diligence program matures, the role will expand to executing compliance control testing.

The Compliance Specialist, Operations & Risk responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Execute day-to-day KYC operations within EQT’s Third Party Diligence program for LNG & LPG counterparties and approved high-risk exceptions, applying the program’s established risk tiers and thresholds.
  • Track open diligence requests, follow up on missing counterparty documents, publish and hand off request notices, and maintain dashboard-based status reporting on outstanding diligence items.
  • Manage outreach for KYC packets and maintain complete, accurate Salesforce records of counterparty documentation.
  • Perform sanctions screening and apply risk tiers, and support Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on elevated-risk counterparties under the direction of the Manager, Compliance Operations & Risk.
  • Run the ongoing rescreening cadence, perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) refreshes, complete annual certifications, and escalate elevated-risk and potential true matches to the Manager, Compliance Operations & Risk for review and escalation to Legal as required.
  • Administer intake, logging, and triage of Compliance Operations & Risk cases, maintaining case records for completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain program metrics and reporting, and maintain Salesforce data quality and reporting within established standards.

As the Third Party Diligence program matures, responsibilities will expand to include:

  • Execute compliance control tests under the Compliance Operations & Risk control testing process, documenting test results and supporting evidence.
  • Track remediation of control testing findings through closure.
  • Coordinate with third-party control testers, who independently test the diligence controls this role operates.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • 0–3 years of experience in compliance, risk, audit, legal, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with comfort managing a high volume of concurrent diligence requests and deadlines.
  • Clear written communication, including recurring status reporting and direct outreach to counterparties.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Direct experience with sanctions screening, KYC/EDD/CDD, or third-party diligence operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working in data, spreadsheets, and reporting tools (Salesforce experience a plus).
  • Interest in compliance control testing or internal audit, including an understanding of control design and test documentation.
  • Comfort using AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and scale recurring processes, consistent with EQT’s AI Usage Policy.
  • Ability to follow structured, defined processes consistently and at volume, while identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • High integrity and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential counterparty information.

Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states:  California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless willing to relocate.
