Job Description

Inside the Cloud Solutions Team

Our team is a premier, award-winning group of cloud experts specializing in the State, Local, and Education (SLED) and Higher Education sectors. Highly recognized leader in Google’s exclusive SLED badge program with distinctions in AI/ML, Data & Analytics, and Work Transformation. We bring deep expertise and innovation to every engagement.

Working in close collaboration with Google Cloud sales teams, Rapid Innovation Teams, and technical SMEs, our team delivers transformative cloud solutions that help hundreds of clients modernize, innovate, and achieve meaningful outcomes.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Consultant within our Google Cloud practice, you will be a core builder driving our clients' cloud transformations. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you will execute technical requirements and build secure, scalable environments using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and Terraform. Working closely with our Senior Technical Leads, you will implement best-practice infrastructure while gaining exposure to the cutting-edge generative AI workloads we deploy for our SLED and Higher Education clients.

Key Responsibilities

● Infrastructure Implementation: Write, modify, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision cloud resources. Support the management of existing CI/CD pipelines.

● Container Deployment: Containerize applications using Docker and deploy/manage workloads on Kubernetes (GKE).

● Cloud Operations & Security: Implement GCP networking configurations (VPCs, firewalls) and apply IAM roles and policies to ensure secure, least-privilege environments.

● AI Infrastructure Support: Assist Senior Consultants in provisioning the foundational cloud infrastructure required to support modern AI workloads (e.g., preparing environments for Vertex AI deployments).

● Project Delivery: Collaborate seamlessly with internal Project Managers and Senior technical staff to execute assigned tasks, resolve blockers, and document technical configurations.

Qualifications

Your Core Skills & Certifications

  • Google Cloud Experience: 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or system administration, with a strong focus on deploying resources in GCP. Note: While AWS/Azure experience is a minor plus, strong foundational Google Cloud skills are required.
  •  Terraform Proficiency: Comfortable writing Terraform to deploy infrastructure and navigating/modifying existing IaC codebases.
  • Containers & Kubernetes: Practical experience building container images and deploying workloads to Kubernetes clusters.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, etc.) for task automation.
  • Adaptable Execution: Ability to take directed technical requirements and drive them to completion independently.

  • Continuous Learner: A genuine passion for expanding your DevOps toolkit and staying curious about the Google Cloud ecosystem.

  • Team Player: You collaborate effectively with others, welcome feedback and code reviews from senior team members, and contribute positively to a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications & "Nice-to-Haves"

  • AI & ML Aptitude: A genuine curiosity for the fast-paced AI ecosystem, with a readiness to deploy the underlying infrastructure for modern AI workloads (e.g., Vertex AI) and adapt to the rapidly evolving landscape of GenAI applications.
  •  Certifications: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer is expected; Professional Certifications (Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer) are a strong plus.
