Strategy Consultant Opportunity (project-based role)

Tyton Partners is looking to expand its bench of contractor and project-based resources and is seeking talented individuals to support project execution and fulfillment activities in a contracting/project-based capacity. The firm is looking for individuals who have 2-3 years of strategy consulting experience, are open to project-based work, and have the flexibility to join engagements on short notice when project needs arise. Consultants can expect to work anywhere between 25-45 hours per week and will be staffed based on the firm’s project needs. 

Consultants will serve as individual contributors on client engagements helping senior leaders across the education sector solve their most pressing strategic challenges. Working closely with firm Partners, Directors, Principals, and Associates, Consultants will typically be expected to contribute to research, analysis, and recommendations throughout all phases of a typical client engagement including:

  • Exploration of a client’s industry niche, including size, growth trends, and competitors
  • Framework ideation and refinement, creating structure to help clarify and describe important dynamics
  • Primary research, through qualitative interviews and/or an original survey
  • Data analysis, combining stakeholder feedback with publicly available sector information to surface the most important and actionable insights
  • Client presentations, helping craft and deliver a client-facing story to help clients understand context, recommendations, and business implications
  • Working closely with junior and senior team members, both receiving and providing coaching and guidance as necessary

  • Self-starter who is comfortable working in dynamic and evolving environments

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of strategy consulting experience required; experience working on diligence projects is a plus
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in the education sector strongly preferred
