Job Summary & Responsibilities

Hendrickson is searching for a Controller for their Truck Division.  This role is located at their Woodridge, IL Technical Center. 

 

This individual will

  • Provide financial and administrative services for the various stakeholders of the Company.
  • Manage the monthly financial close process for the division.
  • Generate timely and accurate financial information that provides the appropriate feedback and supports decision processes.
  • Ensure adequate controls are being maintained and that the value of the company’s assets is properly stated.
  • Properly staff and organize department to accomplish long-term goals. Recruit and develop personnel into effective contributors within the department for potential movement into other company organization.
  • Contribute to overall Division strategy and operating plans. Lead the preparation of budget, plan, and forecast. Lead the regular review of performance to prior year, plan, and forecast.
  • Provide leadership to continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement and elimination of waste.
  • Be the lead for all internal & external audits, working with the auditors, ensuring all documentation is prepared and submitted accordingly ensuring compliance to the Finance Manual.
  • Be responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records and timely processing.
  • Support the Director of Finance in the achievement of company-wide functional objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

The successful candidate will possess

  • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or finance. Master’s degree and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in a variety of accounting positions required (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinker with general business knowledge in a related industry.
  • Internal audit training required.
  • Office setting.
  • Minimal exposure to R&D lab and manufacturing setting.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is $116,000-165,000 annually depending on experience. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This pay range is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
