Job Description:
RMI’s Development & Strategic Engagement team is seeking a candidate who demonstrates excellence in project management and operational support to join its team as a Corporate Partnerships Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Process Support
Project manage the proposal processes for dozens of complex accounts and multiple relationship managers. Manage the proposal development process including: Set up timelines for drafts, manage communication between program colleagues and Relationship Managers, ensure that teams are tracking against established timelines, manage final document review, preparation, and submission.
Work with Relationship Managers and Technical Writers to ensure that proposals are of the highest quality and delivered in a timely manner.
Efficiently coordinate with Accounting colleagues to review and approve budgets to submit with proposals; identify when to use a funders’ template or the RMI template; identify approved indirect cost rates for use in budgets.
Track all above via Monday.com and Salesforce.
Funder Report Process Management
Manage the tracking, preparation, and submission of funder reports for vertical Relationship Managers.
Set up drafts, manage communication between program colleagues and Relationship Managers related to the reports and program POLs to ensure that teams are tracking outputs against established timelines, manage final financial and narrative preparation and submission
Edit content and suggest edits to program teams; always copy edit and polish report drafts
Review financial reports, in coordination with Accounting, to ensure that they match foundation’s templates and funder expectations
Track all above via Monday.com and Salesforce.
Financial Oversight for Corporate Philanthropic Engagement
Maintain a current, detailed view and deep knowledge of the corporate vertical’s funding pipeline and give feedback to leadership on funding gaps
Prepare presentations and reports for RMI leadership on Vertical’s funding projections
Grant agreement management for philanthropic opportunities, including managing internal reviews and revisions from Legal and Accounting departments, ensuring appropriate pre-approvals for the funding have been secured and logged for internal due diligence, providing effective communication support between Relationship Managers and external partners legal representation, finalizing sign executions according to signatory authority policy, and ensuring all agreements are correctly logged in Salesforce to recognize revenue.
Prepare and run complex Salesforce reports
Development & Strategic Engagement Team Coordination
Work with the Senior Director of Strategic Operations and other Development POLs to serve the wider Development team and ensure the team has smooth and efficient operations.
Consistently assess current status of systems for managing complex accounts, identify gaps in systems, and suggest improvements with partners in Development and Program Services.
Train users in existing and new systems (e.g.,Salesforce, Monday.com)
Work with Development Communications to ensure funders are accurately represented and accounted for in communications-related decisions and activities
Account Management and Event Support
Lead operations on major stakeholder convenings for the corporate vertical, including managing input within Salesforce campaigns, assessing prospect lists and outreach from Relationship Managers, and attending weekly executive travel meetings as the corporate vertical team representative
In conjunction with Relationship Managers, ensure that funders receive timely and accurate information about upcoming events
Support Relationship Managers in driving forward account strategies by developing and maintaining key account strategy documents and translating that information into Salesforce Account Profiles
Work with the account fundraising teams (led by Relationship Managers) to develop and implement a systemized and achievable fundraising roadmap and/or stewardship strategy for major donors.
Ensure that details of stewardship plans are compiled and communicated to all involved parties, and that the plan is documented and implemented.
Track engagement and follow-up with corporate accounts and the internal account management team
Participate in regular coordination meetings with corporate engagement staff embedded within programs (e.g., with the Center for Climate Aligned Finance, Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance, etc.).
Approximate allocation of work tasks is 80% by vertical and 20% in service of the overall Development Team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of progressively responsible administrative, finance, operations, project management or related experience OR a minimum of 5 years of experience working at a foundation, institutional funder, or on a fundraising team
Grant administration experience at a foundation, corporation, or nonprofit organization
Excellent writing skills and strong verbal communication skills;
Experience copyediting and/or writing for a technical audience;
Project management and budgeting experience;
Ability to understand revenue forecasting;
Proven organization skills and flexibility when it comes to balancing priorities and multi-tasking.
Strong team and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Experience working with complex budgets and funders
Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively
Demonstrable problem-solving skills
Strong decision-making ability
Attention to detail and exceptional accuracy
Experience with Salesforce, Monday.com, Sharepoint, Microsoft Office.

Location
We are a remote-ready company with team members around the globe. Our beautiful and welcoming offices are available for meetings or focused work, whether you are traveling through or living nearby. Our U.S. offices are in New York City; Washington DC; Oakland, California; Boulder, Colorado, and Basalt, Colorado. This role can be located from anywhere in the continental United States.
We provide you with the essential IT equipment plus a one-time home technology payment and a monthly work from home/commuter allowance to ensure you have a comfortable home office set up and necessary supplies.
We love seeing each other in person! We occasionally gather for shared time together like retreats and learning experiences. Be ready to travel for occasional in-person meetings (and of course, we cover travel costs). Some roles may require more travel, which will be discussed during the hiring process.
Compensation
At RMI, we prioritize fairness in our pay practices. Salaries are determined based on a mix of experience, market benchmarks, and internal equity across similar roles. The salary range of this position is $76,030-$93,707. New hires typically start toward the lower end of the range, depending on experience and alignment with the role’s scope. In addition to base salary, this position includes an annual bonus target of 5% and eligibility for merit-based increases, which are tied to both individual and organizational performance.
