PURPOSE:

This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment. The Corporate Sales Specialist is responsible for managing the full inside sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying leads, closing new business, and nurturing client relationships.
The ideal candidate is motivated by building strong relationships, acquiring new business, and consistently exceeding sales goals, while contributing to overall revenue growth.
 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

  • Proactively prospect and qualify new corporate clients.
  • Foster, develop, and deepen relationship with clients, and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within customer accounts.
  • Develop repeat business through seasonal planning and long-term client relationships.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email communication.
  • Develop, prepare, and present customized sales proposals to clients.
  • Negotiate with clients, follow up on sales activities, and successfully close sales opportunities.
  • Maintain a corporate sales database, including client contact information, and track activities and sales opportunities.
  • Monitor and prepare reports on the sales funnel, client counts, and sales activities.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Sales Team to monitor competitor activity and market trends, and contribute to the development of sales strategies and marketing campaigns. 
  • Partner-cross functionally with Customer Service, Operations, and E-commerce teams to ensure seamless execution of corporate orders.
  • Represent and sell Godiva as a premium brand, minimizing reliance on discounting.
  • Own and deliver against assigned revenue and pipeline targets.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential Criteria

  • Creative thinking skills with the ability to negotiate sales opportunities that benefit both parties.
  • Strong customer focus and adaptability to various personality types across different client industries.
  • Highly organized, capable of multitasking, setting priorities, and managing time effectively.
  • Ability to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience using CRM tools is preferred.
  • Experience in corporate gifting, luxury, or premium retail with a drive for closing the opportunity and delivering against sales goals.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce environments is a plus.
  • Quick learner of new tools and processes.

  • Experience working across more than one function or discipline

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 3+ years of inside sales experience.

  • Excellent communication skills (both phone and email), and active listening abilities. 
  • A positive mindset towards winning new business with creative thinking.
  • Resilience and a persistent passion for achieving sales and budget goals; the ability to handle rejection and keep pushing forward.
  • A creative, open-minded, and collaborative member of the Corporate Sales Team.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

Base starting salary ranges from $65k - $75k/year. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role includes:

  • An annual incentive opportunity, awarded based on individual and company performance.
