Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Digital Product Owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of New Business Operations (NB Operations) modernization initiatives across Purchase Experience.
This leader will have end-to-end ownership of the NB Operations product domain, including Annuity New Business (ANB), Suitability, TeleApp, Self-Complete Part 2, TIPS, TIDE, and Reg. 60. The role will drive modernization of these capabilities, ensuring a cohesive, scalable, and efficient experience across the new business lifecycle.
The role is also responsible for leading and developing a team of Product Owners, setting strategic direction, making prioritization and design decisions, and ensuring outcomes are delivered with quality, accountability, and consistency.
This position requires a strong strategic thinker, decision-maker, and people leader who can operate effectively in ambiguity, influence leaders across business and technology, and balance long-term modernization with near-term operational needs.
What You'll Do:
Own Product Strategy, Roadmap & Prioritization
• Define and champion the product vision for NB Operations capabilities across ANB, Suitability, TeleApp, SCP2, and supporting platforms.• Serve as the lead Product Owner for NB Operations modernization initiatives with accountability for outcomes.• Lead development and execution of the NB Operations roadmap aligned to operational needs and transformation goals.• Prioritize functionality, regulatory requirements, and enhancements based on value, risk, and capacity.• Act as a NB Operations subject matter expert guiding design and functional decisions.
Lead and Develop a Product Team
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Owners supporting NB Operations capabilities.• Set clear expectations for ownership, accountability, and results.• Guide translation of business needs into scalable product solutions and backlogs.• Foster strong partnership across business and technology teams.
Drive Cross-Functional Leadership, Influence & Alignment
• Collaborate with stakeholders across NB Operations, Underwriting, Field Service, Technology, and Agency.• Influence decision-making by framing trade-offs and recommending solutions.• Align modernization priorities, sequencing, and integration opportunities.• Represent NB Ops in governance discussions and escalate risks proactively.
Lead End-to-End Delivery with Accountability
• Partner with teams to define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.• Ensure high-quality delivery across testing, operational readiness, and release.• Partner with support teams to resolve production issues impacting workflows.
Champion Change Management & Adoption
• Partner with change management across NB Operations, Field Service, Agency and Underwriting.• Partner with training and communications teams for rollout readiness.• Support pilots and phased implementations.• Communicate a clear modernization narrative to stakeholders.
What You'll Bring:
• Demonstrated success leading product strategy, prioritization, and delivery in complex, cross-functional environments.• Experience managing and developing Product Owners or similar roles.• Experience in financial services, insurance, underwriting, or other regulated environments preferred.• Experience working in agile environments and partnering closely with technology teams.• Strong background leading initiatives with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and competing priorities.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
