The newly established Internal Creative Agency is dedicated to delivering innovative and impactful creative solutions that deeply engage target audiences and drive measurable business growth. To support this vision, we are seeking a Creative Lead responsible for driving creative strategy and optimizing campaigns on assigned work to achieve measurable results.
The Opportunity
The Creative Director role leads a team of thinkers and doers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop creative concepts based on a creative brief, providing creative direction and guidance to team members, staying updated on industry trends and competitor activities, evaluating the performance of creative campaigns through analytics, and liaising with internal marketing technology and content enablement partners to identify desired new technologies or capabilities. They bring both breadth and depth of creative expertise with proven results, along with a mix of marketing expertise and business acumen to the role. How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Serve as a member of the Internal Creative Agency leadership team, partnering with other Internal Creative Agency leaders to achieve the team's goals and performance metrics.
- Lead and manage the creative team, external creative agencies (where applicable), and freelancers to ensure cohesive and high-performing creative output that addresses business needs
- Lead the creative process from ideation to the final product(s), ensuring the quality and style meet our brand standards and program objectives while balancing resource allocation to meet SLA commitments to key stakeholders.
- Oversee the conceptualization and execution of visual and written content.
- Lead development of creative solutions and produce work to attract, convert and retain consumers
- Generate creative concepts and execute production across a variety of platforms including end-to-end campaigns, digital experiences, email, online display, paid social, videos, direct, print, and collateral.
- Build a technology-savvy shop; make use of creative technology tools to bring efficiency and drive optimization of talent and other resource deployment
- Stay updated on new in-market developments of creative capabilities and channel delivery mechanisms, ensuring MetLife is as progressive as possible while balancing cost to operate.
- Utilize creative and workforce management tools to optimize talent and resources.
- Evaluate the performance of creative campaigns through analytics and adjust or optimize strategies accordingly.
- Identify use cases for AI in driving experimentation of creative output, reducing costs to operate, and promoting team member enablement and development.
- Identify opportunities to increase the depth and breadth of creative work performed for internal clients, both from an understanding of our business and needs, and also from a knowledge of the industry and competitors. Recognize opportunities. A lot can be done with any brief.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- 10-12 years of creative agency experience including four years of leadership experience
- Proven expertise as a creative strategist. A portfolio of the creative work you've managed for clients would be a bonus
- Deeply respected by creative team members; experience collaborating and concepting with creative teams
- Superior analytical skills, strong strategic thinking and exceptional interpersonal skills - you're as adept at reading data as you are at reading clients
- Ability to rationalize POV with logic associated with desired business outcomes.
- Familiarity with analytics platforms, marketing automation tools and SEO best practices
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Proven project management and performance management skills - you're known for your ability to coach and develop talent, inspire and drive change, and bring varied groups together to collaborate effectively
- Knowledge of online and offline marketing best practices, and the creative process
- Demonstrated experience managing projects across a wide range of channels, including email, online paid media, video, social media, web landing pages, web banners, print, direct mail
- Expertise in insurance, financial services helpful, but not required
- Understanding of the creative development process; proficient in project management and agile methodologies
- Proficiency with relevant tools such as Workfront, SharePoint, Figma, and data analytics & visualization tools
- High school diploma required, Bachelors preferred
