Job Description:

StaffFlex contract, 13 weeks

CT Tech
Full-Time, 10am-6:30pm open availability
On-call every 5th week
will need IEMA state license

  • Performs all exams using established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification and education prior to the exam.

  • Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

  • Screens patients of childbearing age and minimizes radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers, while practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.

  • Positions patients and equipment, selects technical factors, and produces radiographic images that meet Radiologist’s standards in a safe and timely manner.

  • Performs clerical duties such as answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.

  • Provides direct patient care within the technologist’s scope of practice, utilizing proper infection control techniques.

  • Monitors patient condition, ensuring comfort, safety, and privacy, while obtaining and documenting patient history and explaining procedures.

  • Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages.

  • Screens patients for any contrast allergies.

  • Adapts imaging protocols as necessary.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • N/A

Education:

  • Associate's [Required]

Field of Study:

  • from an AMA approved school of radiologic technology or JCERT accreditation

Work Experience:

  • 2 years of experience as CT Tech in acute care

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

  • Registered Technologist - Radiography RT(R)(ARRT) [Required]

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography RT(CT)(ARRT) [Required]
