About the Role

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Curriculum Developer to join our curriculum team. This role focuses on building and maintaining high-quality computer science curriculum for high school, with a strong emphasis on supporting teachers through effective instructional materials and resources.

This is an in-office position, which would require 5 days a week in the CodeHS Chicago office at 747 N LaSalle in River North.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain computer science curriculum for high school courses
  • Collaborate with the curriculum team to design and launch new courses
  • Develop teacher-facing materials including lesson plans, handouts, and activities
  • Write and maintain alignments to standards
  • Customize curriculum for schools, districts, and states
  • Create instructional videos and supporting materials
  • Develop familiarity with the CodeHS course catalog
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working in the K–12 education system
  • Experience with 6–12 computer science education preferred
  • Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Java, Python)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Creative, positive, and solution-oriented mindset
Location

Full-time, in-office role in Chicago (River North).

Compensation

Salary range: $70,000-$85,000
