Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to be responsible for applying client branding and high-quality graphic design to FranklinCovey content and resources, helping create tailored, on-brand learning experiences and materials. This role collaborates closely with instructional designers, project managers, and client-facing teams to design visually compelling presentations, participant materials, tools, and other assets that reflect both FranklinCovey and client brand standards. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for layout and typography and has experience with corporate and B2B design.
Essential Job Functions
Internal FranklinCovey Projects (Primary Focus)
- Serve as the graphic designer for internal projects as assigned by the Custom Operations Manager.
- Design and/or customize learning solutions, content, and tools to support:
- Core and emerging FranklinCovey offerings in partnership with internal teams such as Content/Product, Delivery Consultants, 4DX/HCS, etc.
- The Custom team (e.g., internal processes, toolkits, enablement content, internal training)
Custom Client Projects
- Serve as the graphic designer for Customer projects as assigned by the Custom Operations Manager.
- Apply client branding (logos, color palettes, typography, imagery) to existing FranklinCovey content and resources while maintaining FranklinCovey design standards.
- Design and refine slides, participant guides, tools, job aids, and other learning assets for Custom projects.
- Adapt existing layouts and templates to fit different client use cases, formats, and delivery modes (e.g., ILT/VILT presentations, workbooks, digital PDFs).
Presentation & Document Design
- Design visually engaging PowerPoint/Keynote presentations that clearly communicate key messages and learning outcomes.
- Create and format documents (e.g., facilitator guides, participant materials, worksheets, internal toolkits) to be clear, professional, and easy to use.
- Use visual hierarchy, typography, and layout best practices to make complex information accessible and engaging.
Brand Consistency & Standards
- Ensure all custom materials adhere to both FranklinCovey and client brand guidelines.
- Maintain a consistent design aesthetic across presentations, documents, and digital assets.
- Help evolve and maintain Custom Team templates, style guides, and design standards to streamline future work.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Custom instructional designers to translate learning objectives and content into effective visual designs.
- Collaborate with Solution Consultants, Delivery Consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure materials are visually clear, facilitation-ready, and learner-friendly.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a corporate, professional services, or agency environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Strong focus on presentation and document design (e.g., PowerPoint, PDFs, workbooks, guides) in B2B, corporate, or learning environments
- Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint and strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss and explain design decisions to non-design stakeholders
- Experience with leadership development, productivity, trust, execution, or culture-change content areas
- Familiarity with FranklinCovey frameworks, models, and brand voice
- Experience partnering with facilitators/delivery consultants and product/content teams
- Proficiency with project management technologies such as Asana, Smartsheets, etc.
