Who we are: Founded in 2001, Vivid Seats (NASDAQ: SEAT) is a leading online ticket marketplace committed to becoming the ultimate partner for connecting fans to the live events, artists, and teams they love. We believe in the power of experiences and are fiercely dedicated to building products that inspire human connections. Named as one of Built In's top places to work in 2025, we believe that our People are our greatest competitive advantage. To support our People, we have built a company culture that empowers our employees to embrace challenges, encourages unity through collaboration, and seeks to constantly evolve by leveraging data and inspiring innovation.

We believe in harnessing emerging technology to power performance and unlock creativity. As part of our culture of innovation, we actively embrace the use of AI tools to enhance decision-making, improve workflows, and produce better outcomes for our customers.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Data Analyst II to join our investments team, a small, fast-paced team focused on using data to support ticketing partnerships, pricing decisions, and inventory strategy across the live events business. In this role, you'll have real autonomy to help shape pricing and inventory decisions, with broad exposure to the business along the way, from ticket pricing and inventory management to building the dashboards and models that help the team make faster, better-informed decisions.

How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats:

  •  You'll work closely with a small team of analysts and be given real ownership over projects early on, with guidance from your manager as you grow into the role. Depending on your strengths and interests, some projects may lean more heavily into pricing, using data and market signals to identify mispriced inventory, forecast demand, and surface opportunities or risks before they are fully reflected in ticket prices.

How your role expectations will progress as a Job Title in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:

30 days in

  • Complete new hire orientation, gaining the resources you need to be successful.
  • Learn how ticket marketplaces operate and how you’ll contribute to providing great experiences for our customers.
  • Acclimate to team and company norms, business objectives, and Vivid Seats values.
  • You'll get guidance and mentorship early on and should expect to self-direct fairly quickly as you build context.

90 days in

  • Contribute to our approaches, methods, or technologies to support overall business goals and drive team efficiencies.
  • Maintain, harvest and aid internal and external relationships to achieve progress and advance objectives.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools using platforms such as Looker, Python, and Excel to give stakeholders visibility into pricing, inventory, and program performance.
  • Build predictive models, dashboards, and analytical tools that identify pricing and inventory opportunities based on expected outcomes and changing market conditions.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries against Snowflake to pull, join, and analyze large datasets, leveraging AI-assisted tools where appropriate to accelerate analysis and improve efficiency.
  • Use Python to automate recurring analyses and streamline data workflows.

180 days in

  • Apply methods to execute individual tasks that positively impacts the team.
  • Play an active role in continued learnings to advance skill sets necessary for team goals.
  • Analyze historical sales, marketplace supply, event characteristics, and relevant external signals, such as team performance, betting or prediction markets, and weather, to identify pricing opportunities and downside risk.
  • Partner with team members to identify opportunities to improve pricing, inventory performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Support, and eventually lead, small analytical projects end-to-end, from framing the question to presenting findings.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, math, computer science, economics, or similar).
  • 1–2 years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or related analytical role (internship experience may count).
  • Proficiency in SQL; comfortable writing and optimizing queries against large datasets (Snowflake experience a plus).
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports in a BI tool (Looker preferred).
  • Comfortable working with imperfect or messy data and reconciling data quality issues.
  • Strong communication skills; able to translate data into clear takeaways for non-technical stakeholders.
