Job Summary:
Data is continuously generated by hundreds of thousands of Customers and Cat assets that are operated around the globe. This is creating a gold mine of information to support our customers growth and deliver insights to Caterpillar teams.
As Business Intelligence analyst, you will join the Caterpillar Foresight team which focuses on developing a cutting edge application to support our dealership network. Comfortable working in challenging environments with a contagious passion for leveraging data analytics to inform decisions, you will play a key role helping develop and enhance the product.
By joining the Caterpillar Foresight ALI team, your contributions will support services offering for all industries served by Caterpillar. You will be an integral part of our team of talented analysts in Cat Digital, working alongside of other data scientists and analysts in the organization. You will gain experience in a vibrant and diverse multinational organization and develop your understanding of business practices and the data driven revolution.
What You Will Do:
  • Independent contributor to multi-person analytics teams.
  • Assisting in the development, testing, and delivery of services/products.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ability to handle issues independently.
  • Act as a project lead on complex and visible projects.
  • Locate and obtain data from various internal and external sources.
  • Rapidly iterations of new ideas and debug issues.

What You Will Have:
  • Technical background using datasets in SQL.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail:
  • Ability to develop methods and utilize tools to ensure error-free automation.

Business Data Analysis:
  • Technical background using datasets in SQL.
  • Interest in applying statistical methods and forecasting models.
  • Ability to collect required business data through various data sources and apply data analysis techniques to establish, modify, and maintain business data structures.

Effective Communications:
  • Capacity to adapt documents and presentations for the intended audience.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the business simplifying complex data to assist business partners and decision makers.dapt documents and presentations for the intended audience.

Product Design and Development:
  • Ability to collect required business data through various data sources and apply data analysis techniques to establish, modify, and maintain business data structures.

Considerations For Top Candidates Include:
  • 2+ years of business insights and automation related experience preferred
  • High interest in developing and growing skills and learning business
  • Basic knowledge of Apache Airflow and pipelines technologies
  • Exposure to specific organizational tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
  • Knowledge with programming languages such as Python and R preferred
  • Good statistical analysis skills desired

Summary Pay Range:
$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
