Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to accurately enter, update, maintain, and verify information in company databases and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

The Data Entry Clerk will handle a variety of administrative and data-processing responsibilities while ensuring that company records remain accurate, complete, and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter data accurately into databases, spreadsheets, CRM systems, and other company software.
  • Review documents and source information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Verify entered information and identify discrepancies or missing data.
  • Update existing records and maintain accurate electronic files.
  • Organize, sort, scan, and file documents as needed.
  • Process invoices, forms, reports, applications, orders, and other business documents.
  • Perform routine data verification and quality-control checks.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer, employee, financial, and company information.
  • Retrieve and provide data or records when requested by authorized employees.
  • Prepare basic reports, spreadsheets, and data summaries.
  • Assist with document management, filing, and other administrative duties.
  • Communicate with other departments to resolve missing or inconsistent information.
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time requirements.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and data-entry standards.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous data entry, administrative, office, or clerical experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer and internet skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace, or similar software.
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of data entry or clerical experience.
  • Experience with spreadsheets and database management.
  • Experience using CRM, ERP, document management, or accounting systems.
  • Experience with high-volume data entry.
  • Familiarity with basic office procedures and recordkeeping.
  • Strong typing speed and accuracy.
