We are seeking a Data Migrations Specialist to bring expertise, energy, and value to our team. You enjoy building tools, are a troubleshooting pro, and have a strong sense of empathy to understand and exceed the needs and expectations of both employees and customers. 

What our team does:

The Data Migrations team at PracticePanther specializes in transitioning customer data from legacy systems into our platform. This involves tasks such as exporting, importing, processing, and cleansing data. Our work revolves around Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, playing a critical role in delivering a seamless onboarding experience for our customers. 

This team is dedicated to enhancing the customer journey, with opportunities to improve processes and develop better tools. Our team is made up of smart, engaged, and collaborative individuals who are passionate about creating an exceptional experience for our customers. 

In this role, you will:

  • Understand data requirements of the clients and create migration plans
  • Write scripts to perform data transformations and validations on imported data: Contacts, Financial Data, Matters/Cases, etc.
  • Work with customers to troubleshoot and solve their issues
  • Provide superb customer service throughout the data migration process
  • Efficiently manage inbound migration queue and set the right expectation with stakeholders
  • Enhance the overall migration process for the successful implementation and operation
  • Monitor, document, and report progress of the data migration plan at project level
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of programming/scripting experience, specifically with Python
  • 1+ year of data transformation, data pipeline, data analytics
  • Proficiency with relational database technology such as SQLServer, MySQL, or similar
  • 2+ years' experience and proficiency with Excel. You should be able to effectively use Excel's Functions and Formulas
  • Experience working with Jira and Salesforce as a plus
