Internship Summary
NinjaHoldings is seeking a self-motivated, intellectually curious Data Science Intern interested in the opportunity to grow and learn as part of a dynamic team. Our internship program offers an opportunity to work on real projects that move the business forward while receiving hands-on professional development.
When: May-August 2027
Location: Hybrid, downtown Chicago HQ (in-office 2x/week). Candidates must be local or able to relocate independently - relocation assistance is not provided.
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities:
- Build predictive models to optimize lending decisions by using advanced statistical modeling and simulation techniques
- Use advanced data analytics to understand consumer risk behavior trends, their impact on the portfolio, and resulting business opportunities
- Establish key performance metrics and develop automated reporting dashboards using SQL and Python
- Design A/B testing for models and underwriting strategies, evaluate impact, and provide recommendations
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Currently pursuing Bachelors' degree math, statistics, computer science, engineering or related field
- Experience with data analytics and statistical modeling
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Programming experience with Python
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with key attention to detail

- Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., math, statistics, analytics, quantitative finance, engineering, or other quantitative fields)
