HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As a Data Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in shaping and advancing our enterprise data platform strategy. You will design scalable, secure, and governed data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and business decision-making across the organization. By establishing architectural standards, mentoring engineering teams, and driving best practices, you will help build a modern data ecosystem that supports current and future business needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

  • Design and implement enterprise data solutions leveraging Databricks, Azure, and modern cloud data technologies.
  • Lead data engineering solution design utilizing Delta Lake and Medallion Architecture principles.
  • Guide and mentor teams responsible for data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and data platform implementation.
  • Define and implement scalable data integration patterns and data movement strategies.
  • Establish, maintain, and evolve architecture standards, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Implement and enforce data security frameworks using Unity Catalog, role-based access controls (RBAC), data masking, row-level security, column-level security, and least-privilege access models.
  • Ensure data quality, monitoring, auditing, lineage, and governance capabilities are implemented and maintained across data solutions.
  • Optimize Apache Spark workloads, Delta tables, and SQL queries for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Review technical designs and provide guidance to data engineers and development teams.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, technical standards, and reusable design patterns.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business objectives and enterprise architecture strategies.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH…

  • Data Engineering teams responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines and data products.
  • Analytics, Reporting, and Business Intelligence teams leveraging enterprise data assets.
  • Enterprise Architecture and Technology leaders to align solutions with organizational standards.
  • Data Governance and Security teams to ensure compliance, data protection, and governance requirements are met.
  • Business stakeholders and product teams to understand data needs and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Cross-functional technology teams supporting cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and application integrations.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related disciplines.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
  • Experience working with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and SQL-based data solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Medallion Architecture, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional data modeling.
  • Experience designing and implementing secure, governed enterprise data platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices, Git, automated testing frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and scale large-volume data pipelines and data processing workloads.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish technical standards and mentor engineering teams.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)

  • Azure and/or Databricks certifications.
  • Experience with enterprise reporting and analytics platforms such as MicroStrategy and Power BI.
  • Experience defining and implementing enterprise data architecture standards and governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting large-scale cloud modernization and data transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-wide data quality, metadata management, and data lineage solutions.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$127,900-$175,900

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
