PMO - Business Analyst, Zoro

Primary Function
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in shaping the work that Zoro prioritizes and delivers to improve the experience of our customers, the operations of our teams and the underlying technology that powers our platform.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand desired outcomes for each of Zoro’s strategic pillars and how current priorities fit within these pillars
- Serve as primary owner of opportunity assessment in initiative intake process, working with requesters from across company to outline scope of problem and impacts on customers and on business
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Product Managers, Delivery Managers and relevant stakeholders to refine and document needs for new initiatives
- Identify business teams, areas, and systems potentially impacted by desired changes
- Define success metrics to measure whether delivery will meet initiative objectives
- Participate in weekly working group of cross-functional leaders to clarify and progress new work through intake process
- Document findings with clarity and appropriate level of detail during opportunity assessment phase of initiative intake process
- Communicate progress on defining new initiatives to Project Management Operations teammate with an eye on constantly improving process
- Produce detailed, comprehensive documentation and business requirements in the form of Epics and User Stories when defining recommended solutions
Qualifications
- 2+ years pertinent experience as Business Analyst or similar role
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in relevant discipline
- Experience working in an Agile environment and strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle frameworks
- Experience in ecommerce a plus
- Savvy analytic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficient with version control and change management processes, policies, and principles
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and collaborate with all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment
- History of training and mentoring other Business Analysts
- Familiarity with Zoro toolset preferred
- Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
