Job Description
TITLE: Principal Data Solution Architect
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Principal Data Solution Architect in Riverwoods, IL to support corporate risk management business information model. Participate in architecture design specifications, development, implementation, and maintenance activities. Provide recommendations related to existing infrastructure, process modeling, system integrations, and other technical considerations. Participate in the design, advancement, and support of systematic technical solutions aligning to business team initiatives and company priorities. Analyze end state, determine how its best delivered, develop and communicate alternatives when requirements and best practice design conflict. Maintain existing architecture documentation for assigned CRM applications, updating based on process changes, project and vendor changes, including verifying compliance with all policies and other technical standards deployed by the team. Participate in tests and controls to validate current infrastructure, ensuring they meet appropriate standards of accuracy, efficiencies, and reliability. Recommend tools and service options based on functionality, usability, and sustainability that align to team’s strategic deliverables. Provide recommendations to project stakeholders, product and process owners, and business analysts. Provide oversight to testing, including functionality, technical limitations, and security. Provide development status and project timelines with project managers, business analysts, and other business resources. Identify tasks and issues that impact service levels or implementation schedules, including working with internal and external technical systems support teams to identify and remediate issues impacting production applications. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications or related field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or related occupation: participating in technical architecture design and analysis; performing system implementation and testing; participating in Lean Six Sigma process improvements; utilizing enterprise data warehouse tools including Teradata and SAS; utilizing reporting applications including Tableau and Wdesk; Performed data extraction and handling using Oracle SQL or Microsoft SQL. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree and two (2) years of experience in the above listed skills.
