Job Description
Responsible for providing thought leadership & strategic thinking to solve business problems. Conducts advanced analytics including both qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify variations, patterns, and insights. Responsible for ensure a well-controlled process to minimize errors and rework. This role will closely monitor team progress to ensure goals are met and course correct as necessary. Manages a large team of high performing quantitative/qualitative analysts and/or managers and will be responsible for ensuring the team stays motivated and engaged. He/she will manage team performance, coach and develop employees and hire the right talent.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing a team that performs advanced analytics and provides intelligence and recommendations to solve business issues to business partners. Conducts advanced analytic analyses, including both qualitative and quantitative to identify trends, variations, patterns, and insights. Ensures team members produce accurate and on-time delivery of analyses and recommendations.
- Partners with business and process owners to identify, build, and implement models and strategies. Presents findings from analyses and makes recommendations to leadership.
- Establishes and maintains effective performance tracking; identify improvement opportunity, form hypothesis, proposes, and implements to drive enhancement and optimization.
- Recruits, trains, coaches and develops talents to their full potential with exceptional quantitative/analytical competencies, as well as project management skill and leadership skills. Manages and sets priorities of analyst, assign projects and allocate resource, communicate business performance and project progress to management & business partners.
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners to formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, and validation. Works with business partners to provide critical thinking around the analysis and the data. Ensures that all team members understand the issue being analyzed and that clear expectations are provided. Facilitate implementation of work product and ensure accuracy.
- Ensures standard work processes and documentation requirements are timely and consistently followed by team. Encourages continuous improvement of team processes and share across functional teams to ensure consistency. Ensure controls are in place throughout the process to minimize errors and rework.
- Partners with leadership to ensure understanding of requirements and performance levers for each analysis. Identifies value drivers and partners with business and process owners to define success measures.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
- Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related Technical/Quantitative field
- 6+ years of experience in Quantitative/Analytics/Data Science role leading advanced analytics at scale, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in people leadership, managing a team of analysts
- In lieu of a Master’s Degree, 8+ years of experience in Quantitative/Analytics/Data Science role with a Bachelor's Degree in a Quantitative/Technical field
Preferred Qualifications
