Job Summary

Responsible for summarizing research data and operations information that will assist management in both long- and short-rang strategic planning. Responsible for identifying and working with corresponding departments and field store field operations to update or revise policies and procedures consistent with Federal, state, and municipal laws and regulations, systems enhancements, and operational procedures that enhance productivity and profitability. Plans, designs and deploys appropriate reports and tools to mature enterprise products and services, Responsible for verification of test and pilot activities, including but not limited to, store systems development, software revisions, ensuring procedures address legal and compliance matters, and conducting follow-up to ensure compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains a working relationship and understanding of business operations and system interfaces throughout Walgreens to define new project business needs, business problems, and issue related to compliance matters.
  • Plans, designs and deploys appropriate reports and tools to mature enterprise products and services.
  • Understands and gathers information on Walgreen stores, retail environment, pharmacy and competitors in order to address and identify needs, enhancements, and possible integration opportunities to mitigate potential compliance exposures.
  • Analyzes corresponding data to effectively recommend system procedure changes, enhancements, development of functional specifications or interface opportunities with costs and or return on investment summarized. Analyzes data in order to identify trends through the review of historical, qualitative and quantitative data and develops recommended courses of action to address adverse trends.
  • Works with necessary departments to develop training and determine procedures associated with all store system projects and problem resolutions.
  • Develops methods, processes, and reports to monitor and sustain results. Analyzes data in order to effectively identify program performance variances [e.g., Call Center’s service levels, Health Coach clinical movement, training completion rates, etc.] and recommends potential courses of action to address such variances.
  • Monitors internal programs, policies, and procedures and their effects on departmental and divisional OGSMs.
  • Establishes quantifiable guidelines that are easily measured in order to ensure expectations are understood and accountability for compliance matters.

Basic Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of experience in business analysis or in a store operations function OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least six (6) years of experience in business analysis or in a store operations function.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with store systems (e.g., AS400, POS, SIMS) and/or retail healthcare experience.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
