We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated Cartridge Valve Design Engineer at our Schaumburg, IL facility.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life Insurance, as well as generous paid time off and continuing education assistance. Salary range commensurate with experience and qualifications, between $85,000-$105,000
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Hydraulic Cartridge Valves including Solenoid Valves, Pressure Control Valves, Directional Valves and Proportional Valves.
- Create customer and manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, test procedures, work instructions, hydraulic schematics etc.
- Design components and assemblies to satisfy specific customer requirements
- Interface and work in the engineering laboratory to validate prototype parts
- Develop test specifications for validation and EOL production
- Maintain engineering documentation to support current manufacturing and assembly processes
- Communicate with vendors to optimize design specifications for manufacture
- Participate with other departments to address manufacturing, design or quality issues, and ensure the continuous improvement of designs and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with at least 2 years relevant work experience
- Prior experience in fluid power design is a strong advantage
- Logic driven troubleshooting ability
- CAD proficiency using SolidWorks or similar
- Knowledge of simulation tools for fluid dynamics, component strength and magnetic properties
- Knowledge of drafting and geometric tolerancing practices
- Knowledge of hydraulic principles, circuit diagrams, symbols, valve types and functions
- Able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
