The Role

We’re looking for designers who think strategically and creatively across a variety of project types. Portfolios should demonstrate conceptual thinking, strategic insight, and exceptional craft. Multidisciplinary skills such as illustration, animation, or spatial design are a plus.

What You’ll Do
  • Take ideas from initial concept through execution alongside creatives, technologists, producers and leadership.
  • Develop original design directions and refine work within established brand guidelines and visual centers.
  • Combine conceptual thinking with craft and attention to detail
  • Adapt to different brand styles and visual directions, spotting opportunities for unexpected interactive, environmental, or animation outputs.
  • Find outside inspiration, and bring new thinking and ideas into the studio.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Figma or Adobe Creative Cloud
  • A passion and hunger for learning and up-leveling your craft
  • Portfolio showing solid fundamentals, attention to detail, inventive design thinking and high-level execution in brand experience work (spec work is welcome)
  • A collaborative team player that is motivated, pro-active and positive.
  • Multi-disciplinary interests in other media (illustration, animation, 3D, etc.)

The average salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits. Salary is determined by a combination of factors that include qualifications, applicable skills, relevant experience and other budgetary considerations such as location/geography.

Hovercraft is a remote-first company, working primarily on Pacific and Mountain time. Anyone/anywhere in the United States is encouraged to apply. You must be eligible to work in the US.
