Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Customer Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and integrations. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements, perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, monitor data quality, and maintain technical documentation while ensuring adherence to data governance, security, and SDLC best practices.
As a Developer, you are responsible for creating and maintaining software development lifecycle activities pertaining to the business applications. You will design, code, test, debug, and document existing and new enhancements supporting Customer Master Data Management (MDM) platforms, integrations, and data quality initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Works with project managers, business analysts, data stewards, architects, and product owners to understand how business requirements and technical specifications will translate to actual work product across Customer MDM and enterprise data platforms.
- Maintains a culture of open communication, collaboration, mutual respect and productive behaviors; hires, trains and retains top tier talent and mentors team members to new and fulfilling career experiences.
- Experience with Customer MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, Semarchy, Profisee, SAP MDG, or comparable technologies.
- Experience supporting enterprise customer data domains across CRM, ERP, eCommerce, Supply Chain, and Marketing platforms.
- Conducts code reviews and provides guidance on code management, release management, environment management, process flows and documentation.
- Identifies risks, barriers, efficiencies and opportunities when thinking through development approach.
- Explores all technical options when considering a solution, including MDM platforms, enterprise integration tools, third party solutions, cloud technologies and existing technology components.
- Participates in collaborative efforts through all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Designs, develops, and supports Customer MDM solutions to ensure accurate, consistent, and trusted customer master data across enterprise systems.
- Develops integrations between MDM platforms, CRM systems, ERP systems, digital applications, and downstream consuming applications.
- Supports customer identity management, data matching, survivorship rules, hierarchy management, deduplication processes, and customer data governance initiatives.
- Understands lifecycle of various technology sub-systems that comprise the Master Data Management ecosystem (i.e., version, release, roadmap), including current capabilities, compatibilities, limitations and dependencies; understands and advises of optimal upgrade paths.
- Leverages relationships with key IT, QA, Data Governance, and other corporate colleagues by communicating and collaborating on cross-functional initiatives.
- Works with project managers, business analysts, data stewards, and product owners to understand how business requirements and technical specifications will translate to actual work product across enterprise data platforms.
- Develops technical documentation, such as system context diagrams, design documents, data flow diagrams, interface specifications, and release procedures.
- Participates in troubleshooting efforts for production issues of all levels and severities through a hands-on approach, including root cause analysis, defect resolution, incident management, and coordination with third-party vendors as appropriate.
- Provides ongoing production support for Customer MDM applications, integrations, data pipelines, and associated systems to ensure system stability and business continuity.
- Monitors application health, data quality metrics, batch processing activities, interfaces, and system performance to proactively identify and resolve issues before business impact occurs.
- Participates in data quality improvement initiatives by identifying data inconsistencies, duplicate records, integration failures, and process optimization opportunities.
- Supports incident management and service request activities by partnering with business users, infrastructure teams, and platform support teams to resolve issues within established SLAs.
- Participates in architecture and design discussions to ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure MDM solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Ensures adherence to data governance standards, security policies, data privacy regulations, and master data management best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field required.
- 3 years required, 5 years preferred experience in a development role in an enterprise environment with responsibility for the delivery, support, and maintenance of enterprise data management solutions.
- 3 years required, 5 years preferred experience with Customer Master Data Management (MDM) platforms and related technologies.
- 3 years required, 5 years preferred experience developing solutions using modern development tools, integration technologies, and best practices.
- Experience supporting production environments and resolving application, integration, and data-related incidents.
- Experience developing and supporting customer data integration and synchronization processes between enterprise applications.
- Working knowledge of Customer MDM concepts including matching, merging, survivorship, hierarchy management, data stewardship, and data governance.
- Working knowledge with code management systems.
- Working knowledge with intake and task management tools.
- Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Working knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, ETL processes, and data services.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and data quality management practices.
- Working knowledge of development frameworks.
- Working knowledge with build tools.
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience with production monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and operational support processes.
- Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
