Role Overview

The Director, Clinical Applications, is a domain leader responsible for the delivery, team management, and client engagement within Ellit Groups' Clinical Solutions service line. This role provides direct leadership of clinical workflow consultants, clinical leadership, and clinical application analysts, ensuring high-quality delivery outcomes across client engagements.


The Director serves as the primary point of accountability for day-to-day team performance, client relationship health, and delivery consistency across active engagements. Working collaboratively with Platform Leads, Client Success Partners, and Ellit Groups leadership, this role ensures that clinical expertise is applied effectively across implementations, optimizations, and managed services engagements spanning inpatient, ambulatory, and perioperative environments.


The Director, Clinical Applications carries billable responsibilities focused on advisory support, delivery oversight, and client engagement, with expectations adjusted based on team management demands and portfolio size.

  • Delivers consistently with little to no VP intervention required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide domain leadership across all platforms for the Clinical Solutions service line, setting priorities and direction in alignment with Ellit Groups' strategic goals, delivery standards, and service line objectives.

• Oversee the refinement and execution of Clinical Solutions offerings — including inpatient nursing, ambulatory care, perioperative, and ancillary workflows — ensuring they remain current, competitive, and aligned with industry best practices.

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of clinical consultants and managers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture through ongoing coaching, performance management, and career development.

• Manage resource allocation across active engagements, balancing client needs, staff capacity, and individual personal and career development goals.

• Maintain accountability for delivery quality and execution across all Clinical Solutions engagements, conducting regular health reviews and ensuring work products meet Ellit Groups' standards and client expectations.

• Establish and monitor performance metrics related to delivery quality, consultant utilization, client satisfaction, and team health.

• Serve as a trusted clinical advisor and primary domain point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring contractual, operational, and performance expectations are consistently met.

• Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate clearly with client and internal stakeholders to protect delivery quality and client satisfaction.

• Engage as and partner with Client Success Partners to strengthen long-term client relationships and identify opportunities to deepen Ellit Groups' clinical impact within existing accounts.

• Provide billable advisory and delivery oversight support as needed, including direct client engagement on complex or escalated clinical situations, and ensure appropriate documentation, reporting, and governance practices are followed.

• Collaborate with all service line leadership to ensure Clinical Solutions delivery is well-integrated with broader client engagement strategies and EHR platform objectives across Epic, Oracle Health, and other supported platforms.

• Oversee the development of internal tools, standards, and frameworks that improve clinical delivery consistency, scalability, and outcomes measurement.


Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, or a related clinical field. Master's degree preferred (MSN, MHA, or equivalent).

• 7+ years of experience in clinical operations, health IT consulting, or clinical informatics, with a strong understanding of inpatient, ambulatory, and/or perioperative clinical workflows.

• 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience, including performance management, coaching, and professional development.

• Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and serving as a trusted clinical domain advisor in a client-facing role.
