The National Safety Council is America’s leading nonprofit safety advocate. We focus on eliminating the leading causes of preventable injuries and deaths. Through leadership, research, education, and advocacy, NSC focuses on areas where most unintentional injuries and deaths occur.
We are currently looking for a Director, First Aid to join us in our mission to save lives and prevent injuries.
Position Highlights:

Oversees the strategy, business plan development, and successful execution for the multimillion-dollar first aid training product line.

As head of the first aid product line, this role leads a wide range of business functions and systems, including strategic planning, new business development, competitive positioning, program administration, product development, and innovation.

Directly manages, mentors, and motivates team members to collaborate successfully and meet product line goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee financial aspects for First Aid product line.
  • P&L management including planning, budgeting, and monitoring.
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, develop product roadmaps, and deliver on related plans.
  • Foster innovation and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams across channels and business units.
  • Build strong relationships with distributors, partners, channels, and customers to understand evolving needs and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing GTM team to execute sales strategies.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, collaborative team.
  • Monitor project activities and ensure completion within scheduled time and budget.
  • Strong business operation skills including attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects /responsibilities.
  • A proven track record of setting and exceeding aggressive goals; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment.
  • Ability to think and influence both quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Strong knowledge of the first aid training marketplace and competition.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done.

We’re Looking for Someone with: 

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA desired.
  • 10 years relevant business experience within the first aid training market with a minimum of 5 years of general management and P&L responsibility.
  • Strong product management skills.
  • Business/financial/analytical/ acumen with direct responsibility for the development of annual business plan and budget for the first aid training product line.
  • A proven track record of setting and exceeding aggressive goals; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written/oral communication and management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members.
  • Experience with learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Must have background in first aid and safety training product management/development.
  • This is a remote position.
  • Salary range - $120,000 to $125,000
