Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Director, Global Commercial Content Ecosystem role will make an impact:

1. Enterprise Content Operations Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the enterprise strategy and vision for the upstream content ecosystem (MLR, DAM, CAT, and integrations).

  • Ensure platforms collectively enable:

    • Modular content reuse and scalability.

    • Accelerated speed-to-market.

    • Regulatory compliance and audit readiness.

    • Seamless, user-centric experiences.

  • Establish DAM as the single source of truth and ensure ecosystem-wide alignment with end users.

  • Partner with senior leadership to align platform strategy with broader digital, marketing, and business objectives.

2. Roadmap Ownership & Value Realization

  • Own commercial roadmap for continuous improvement.

  • Balance strategic transformation with operational priorities.

  • Define and track enterprise KPIs, including:

    • Adoption and engagement.

    • Cycle time reduction (e.g., MLR review timelines).

    • Content reuse and efficiency gains.

    • Reduction in manual processes and duplication.

  • Identify and prioritize innovation opportunities to meet commercial needs (e.g., AI-enabled workflows, automation, intelligent metadata).

3. Governance, Compliance & Operating Model

  • Establish and enforce enterprise governance frameworks across platforms, including:

    • Role-based capabilities and permissions.

    • Workflow standardization and controls.

    • Metadata and taxonomy discipline.

  • Ensure platforms embed compliance by design, minimizing reliance on manual processes.

  • Partner with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance stakeholders to ensure alignment with evolving requirements.

4. Platform Adoption & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accountability for end-to-end platform performance across the ecosystem from business perspective.

  • Monitor:

    • System adoption and utilization.

    • Workflow efficiency and bottlenecks.

    • Metadata quality and integrity.

  • Lead a structured continuous improvement program, driving:

    • Platform enhancements.

    • Process optimization.

    • Integration maturity.

  • Translate insights into actionable improvements that deliver measurable business value.

5. Vendor and IT Partnership

  • Serve as the primary business stakeholder representing content operations requirements and priorities.

  • Partner with IT to ensure:

    • Scalable, secure, and stable platform architecture.

    • Effective translation of business requirements.

    • Timely delivery of releases and enhancements.

  • Drive accountability across internal and external partners for performance and outcomes.

6. Team Leadership & Organizational Enablement

  • Lead and develop a team of business process owners and/or operational specialists.

  • Provide strategic direction and prioritization, while delegating executional responsibilities.

  • Build organizational capability in:

    • Platform utilization.

    • Content operations best practices.

    • Change management and adoption.

  • Champion a product mindset across the team and broader organization.

7. Metadata & Ecosystem Alignment

  • Ensure alignment of platforms with enterprise metadata and taxonomy frameworks.

  • Oversee the integrity and flow of content and metadata across systems.

  • Enable robust reporting and analytics through structured, governed data.

  • Partner with IT team to evolve the content data model and integration strategy.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree (equivalent) preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical or biotech marketing experience, including global or regional leadership roles.

  • However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. 

  • 10+ years of experience in content operations, business process, or digital content ecosystems.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and enterprise platforms.

  • Deep experience with DAM, MLR, and/or content lifecycle platforms (e.g., Veeva, Aprimo).

  • Strong experience in regulated environments (pharma preferred).

  • Proven ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment in complex, global organizations.

  • Strong partnership with IT platform owners.

  • Strategic leadership with strong business and digital acumen.

  • Enterprise product mindset and value-driven decision making.

  • Executive stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

  • Strong understanding of content lifecycle, governance, and compliance.

  • Data-driven and analytical approach to performance management.

  • Ability to lead through complexity and drive organizational change.

  • Travel internationally (approx. 20%).

  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $112,000.00 - $236,000.00 USD.
