HR Director — Dispensary33 & Spark'd Cannabis

Lead the HR functions at an established, high-functioning retail company with six retail locations, supporting ~150 retail employees and ~20 management staff. 

Responsibilities

    • Champion and steward company culture; reinforce the Employee Ownership mindset
    • Recruiting, hiring, benefits, and payroll coordination
    • Employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
    • HR policy, employee handbook, and documentation
    • Compliance with federal and Illinois employment law, plus cannabis-industry-specific workforce requirements 
    • HR metrics, headcount planning, and reporting to leadership
    • Some travel to retail locations

    Requirements

    • 7+ years HR experience, including in a leadership role
    • Multi-site and/or retail workforce experience
    • Working knowledge of Illinois employment law
    • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
    • Bachelor's in HR/related field or equivalent

    Preferred

    • Prior cannabis or other regulated-industry experience
