HR Director — Dispensary33 & Spark'd Cannabis
Lead the HR functions at an established, high-functioning retail company with six retail locations, supporting ~150 retail employees and ~20 management staff.
Responsibilities
- Champion and steward company culture; reinforce the Employee Ownership mindset
- Recruiting, hiring, benefits, and payroll coordination
- Employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
- HR policy, employee handbook, and documentation
- Compliance with federal and Illinois employment law, plus cannabis-industry-specific workforce requirements
- HR metrics, headcount planning, and reporting to leadership
- Some travel to retail locations
Requirements
- 7+ years HR experience, including in a leadership role
- Multi-site and/or retail workforce experience
- Working knowledge of Illinois employment law
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Bachelor's in HR/related field or equivalent
Preferred
- Prior cannabis or other regulated-industry experience
