Job Description:

Position Description:

Develops desktop container strategies to deliver a cohesive user experience by designing and building desktop application platforms that enable seamless integration of other applications. Enhances the shared utility library used across applications to streamline authentication, authorization, context sharing, and interfacing with parent platforms such as NextGenWorkstation and MyWorkspace. Apply expertise in proprietary methodologies, tools, and platforms including: FSDM, FAM, Fidelity Architectural Design Review Process, NextGen Operation Workstation, Account 360, BEAM, Task Processing UI, MyWorkspace, AMP, FDOT, and MAUIweb. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads the technical design and development of key components, including an extensive context-sharing system and a centralized notification center.

  • Oversees technology framework maintenance and migration efforts.

  • Applies deep domain knowledge of customer and account systems to drive feature development and promote adoption of Account 360 across the organization.

  • Onboards new hires efficiently and ensures timely delivery of critical, time-sensitive initiatives.

  • Translates business requirements into strategic plans.

  • Identifies and consults with internal and external technical resources to produce cross-company strategic designs.

  • Consults on development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.

  • Consults on deployment of major project deliverables.

  • Consults on the documentation of major technology application.

  • Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues.

  • Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization.

  • Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives.

  • Provides leadership, supervision, and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide projects.

  • Advises senior management on technical strategy.

  • Researches and recommends new technologies.

  • Works across groups to identify opportunities for organization-wide technology initiatives.

  • Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members for performance and career development.

  • Identifies and plans for future resource needs.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Director, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation)  designing and developing desktop container platforms, and Cloud-distributed User Interface (UI) and Application Programming Interface (API) solutions, to modernize legacy systems within a code financial brokerage and client experiences domain. 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Director, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) designing and developing desktop container platforms, and Cloud-distributed User Interface (UI) and Application Programming Interface (API) solutions, to modernize legacy systems within a code financial brokerage and client experiences domain.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing desktop container strategy (including Web and workflow applications) to modernize legacy systems and deliver unified user experiences, using Angular, Node, Java, REST APIs, and IO.Connect within the financial services industry.  

  • DE supporting Agile software delivery as a product owner -- including managing backlogs, facilitating sprint planning, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver scalable enterprise platforms, using Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, and Miro tools. 

  • DE designing and developing reusable user interface (UI) components and frameworks to accelerate product development by creating and publishing shared modules for authentication, authorization, and configuration-driven interfaces, using NPM and Java JAR technologies; and promotng consistency across enterprise Angular applications by implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices, integrating DevOps tools (Jenkins and Terracore), and GitHub for automated deployments. 

  • DE performing all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) -- engaging with business stakeholders, architecture, and technology partners to build and maintain applications and services according to Agile methodologies; and visualizing and managing sprint planning implementation using Scrum, Jira, and JiraAlign.
