The Role

Pricing is a key strategic capability at Entegris. The new Director, Margin Expansion and Profitability will establish and lead enterprise pricing strategy, governance, analytics, and execution to accelerate profitable growth across products, customers, markets, and regions. This leader will partner with senior executives and cross-functional leaders in Sales, Finance, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, and Information Technology to translate market, customer, competitive, and cost insights into actionable pricing decisions. If hired into this role, you will build scalable processes, tools, and organizational capabilities; lead complex transformation initiatives; and provide clear recommendations on price, volume, mix, portfolio, and margin tradeoffs.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative commercially oriented, data-driven people leader who can operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment and influence decisions at the executive level.

What You'll Do:

  • Define and execute a multi-year pricing strategy aligned with enterprise growth, market positioning, customer value, and profitability objectives.

  • Serve as the senior pricing advisor to executive and business leaders, providing fact-based recommendations on price, volume, mix, portfolio, contracts, and margin tradeoffs.

  • Establish division pricing governance, decision rights, approval thresholds, policies, controls, and performance standards that improve consistency, speed, and accountability.

  • Lead value-based pricing, segmentation, lifecycle pricing, new-product pricing, annual price planning, discount management, and margin recovery initiatives across the portfolio.

  • Direct advanced pricing analytics, scenario modeling, elasticity assessment, competitive intelligence, and performance reporting to identify revenue and margin opportunities.

  • Partner with Business and Sales leaders on strategic customer negotiations, deal structures, exception decisions, and commercial programs while balancing customer value and long-term profitability.

  • Own the pricing transformation roadmap, including process redesign, data quality, system enablement, automation, and integration with SAP and related commercial platforms.

  • Work with the business teams on product life cycle management, maximizing the value of and optimizing our product portfolio from concept through retirement.

  • Influence across functions, business units, and regions to drive adoption of pricing strategies, tools, and behaviors in a complex global matrix.

  • Develop executive-level dashboards and operating reviews that measure price realization, margin expansion, leakage, exception activity, adoption, and return on pricing initiatives.

What We Seek:

  • Enterprise mindset with the strategic judgment to connect pricing decisions to customer value, market dynamics, portfolio strategy, and financial outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, align senior stakeholders, and drive adoption across global, cross-functional, and matrixed teams.

  • Exceptional analytical and financial acumen, including the ability to translate complex data into concise insights, decisions, and measurable business actions.

  • Executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to challenge constructively, simplify ambiguity, and present compelling recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Strong people leadership, talent development, change leadership, and program management capabilities.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in pricing, commercial strategy, finance, product management, revenue management, sales operations, or a related discipline, including significant leadership responsibility.

  • Proven success designing and implementing pricing strategy, governance, analytics, and transformation initiatives in a complex business-to-business environment; experience in global manufacturing, technology, or semiconductor-related industries preferred.

  • Demonstrated record of delivering measurable revenue and margin improvement through value-based pricing, segmentation, portfolio optimization, discount management, and commercial execution.

  • Experience leading and developing teams, managing enterprise-scale programs, and influencing executive stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Advanced financial modeling, data interpretation, and business case development skills; proficiency with Excel, business intelligence tools, pricing platforms, and enterprise systems such as SAP strongly preferred.

  • Ability to operate across time zones and travel domestically or internationally as business needs require.
