General Description:

The Director, Market Access Strategic Marketing is an instrumental role responsible for the development, implementation, management, and execution of a coordinated, strategic marketing plan and related tactics, deliverables, and customer-specific access activities. This person will align closely with the Market Access field teams in support of current and future indications for BRUKINSA® (zanubrutinib) and TEVIMBRA® (tislelizumab), as well as market conditioning, planning, and launch of BeiGene pipeline products.

This individual will develop and advance a keen understanding of overall market access customer needs and create and refine appropriate personal/non-personal marketing programs to be utilized by the Market Access Account Directors (i.e. NADs, CADs, and Payer Field Director Account team). Collaboration with confidence and drive across the BeiGene commercial and medical organization including HEOR, Medical Affairs, Brand Marketing, Legal & Regulatory, and our Commercial Operations & Business Analytics teams is paramount.

Liaise with Field Account Sales when and where applicable to identify opportunity for team synergies and assess individual program effectiveness.

This role can potentially be leveled at the Associate Director level depending on experience.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Contributes to the overall development and implementation of respective Brand’s value propositions, access strategy and payer/systems marketing, ultimately aligning operations to ensure access is not a barrier to BeiGene products.
  • Acts as primary point of contact with agencies, vendors, and/or 3rd party consultants; lead promotional review committee process for assigned/developed projects and materials.
  • Coalesces field and customer access insights to further refine and advance segment-specific value proposition and inherent core messages to grow our position within a competitive hematology/oncology biopharmaceutical ecosystem.
  • Contributes to the development and attainment of key metrics for payer, reimbursement and systems-level account access strategies, markets, and channels.
  • Identifies and capitalizes on strategic opportunities to best position our products, including and beyond annual meetings, conferences and congresses which you will oversee.
  • Acts as a thought partner in areas of payer, provider reimbursement and organized customer account market access strategies and tactics to the Segment Leaders and respective Field Teams, as well as a key component to the Market Access Department; proactively seeks input and opportunity assessments from Field Teams.
  • Holds understanding of the complex and evolving market access landscape and challenges, including payer trends, private and government payer perspectives, integrated systems control levers (e.g. clinical pathways, specialty product dispensing, and Part B intravenous/infusibles and Part D oral oncolytics) and evolving healthcare policy.
  • Thorough understanding of FDA (incl. PIE and HCEI communications), OIG, HIPAA, and other ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.

Required Experience:

For the AD level, we require:

  • BS degree with 8 plus years of broad biotech/pharma experience or a Master’s with 6 plus years.

For the Director level, we require:

  • BS with 10 plus years of broad biotech/pharma experience or a Master’s with 7 plus years.

For both levels, we require:

  • Product launch experience.
  • 4 plus years of oncology and/or rare disease, and competitive product launch experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced degree and training is also appreciated.
  • Market access experience with payers, plans, PBMs, health systems, IDNs, large community oncology practices, and/or Group Purchasing Organizations is strongly desired.

Computer Skills: 

  • PC, including MS Office Suite.

Other Qualifications:   

  • Professional market access committees, congresses, and related professional organization membership.

Travel: 

  • Depending on candidate’s home residence, this will be a hybrid home-office/remote position. Travel will vary month-to-month, but expected to attend various industry conferences, conduct insights gathering events (i.e. focus groups), and support the field Account Directors efforts with customer visits.

Salary Range: $183,700.00 - $243,700.00 annually

BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
