Greenlight Rent, formerly Rhino + Jetty, is making housing more affordable and accessible for millions of renters each year. We're the market-leading rental housing platform building simpler, more accessible ways for people to move into homes — and for property managers to lease with confidence.

Our technology removes friction from the move-in process, lowers upfront costs for renters, and helps property managers make faster, more accurate decisions. We support a network of 3 million rental units nationwide and work with 47 of the NMHC Top 100 property owners, including Greystar, Brookfield, Asset Living, UDR, and more.

We helped pioneer security deposit insurance and continue to push the industry forward with a growing suite of products — from deposit management to lease guarantees and loss-of-employment protection. We're growing quickly, tackling real problems at scale, and building technology that's changing how renting works.

The Role

Lead marketing for Greenlight Rent, with a focus on lifecycle and product marketing. You'll build clear, credible messaging and materials for the property management teams who partner with us, the leasing teams who offer Greenlight to applicants, and the renters who use it, and run campaigns that bring Greenlight to new property management companies.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set the strategy and write and ship much of the work yourself, partnering closely with sales, account management, product, and compliance. You'll manage a marketing and events specialist, and we expect to grow the team as programs prove out.

Most of your time, roughly two-thirds, will go to supporting the property management partners we already work with: their teams, their renters, and their programs. The rest supports new business and co-marketing with our partners.

What You'll Own

  • Partner marketing — onboarding and ongoing programs that make Greenlight easy to launch, run, and grow across a portfolio, and keep partners' teams current as staff and properties change
  • Product marketing and launches — positioning, messaging, and launch plans for Greenlight Deposit, Greenlight Guarantee, and future products, with clear, accurate information for partners, leasing teams, and renters
  • Leasing team enablement — training, product information sheets, and FAQs that help leasing teams offer Greenlight consistently and connect renters with Greenlight Rent's support team for coverage questions
  • Demand generation — campaigns that build qualified pipeline with property management companies for our sales team
  • Sales enablement — modular decks, one-pagers, case-study materials, partner-specific presentations
  • Communications — partner announcements, product and launch comms, segmented email, LinkedIn, and help-center content
  • Marketing operations — a shared planning calendar, intake process, and review workflow, including compliance review, across sales, account management, CX, and product
  • Website — own content, structure, and calls to action, and partner with design to ship updates
  • Brand and events — keep our voice and visual identity consistent everywhere, and lead our presence at conferences and partner events, from positioning and collateral to follow-up
  • Measurement — reporting on campaign performance, partner and renter adoption, and marketing's contribution to pipeline

First 90 Days

  • All external marketing and partner communications running through one owner (you), with a single review process that includes Legal & Compliance
  • Core narrative, product messaging, and audience segmentation documented and in consistent use
  • Partner onboarding and ongoing partner programs live
  • First version of a leasing team training kit shipped, with product information sheets and FAQs approved by Legal & Compliance, so on-site teams can offer Greenlight consistently
  • Baseline metrics in place for adoption, engagement, and pipeline

Background

  • 7+ years in B2B or B2B2C marketing, with depth in lifecycle and product marketing
  • Experience marketing a product that partners offer to their own customers, communicating with both business decision-makers and consumers
  • A track record of building pipeline for a sales team
  • Experience building segmented lifecycle email programs at scale, from audience strategy through deliverability
  • Nice to have: rental housing, proptech, or adjacent fintech/insurance experience
  • Exceptional writer/editor — can turn complex product and policy detail into simple, credible copy
  • Comfortable building in a small, fast-moving team
  • Experience partnering closely with sales, partnerships, product, legal/compliance, CX
  • Strong judgment on regulated or reputationally sensitive communications

Who Thrives Here

This is a builder role — high ownership, fast iteration, equal comfort with strategy and execution. Owns the brand outright, not just supports it. Balances a sales-forward narrative with careful coordination across legal, compliance, CX, and product. Builds the marketing function at an early stage, and makes marketing a durable counterpart to sales and product.

This Probably Isn't the Right Fit If...

  • You need a large team or an established playbook to be effective
  • You haven't worked in regulated or compliance-sensitive comms before
  • You prefer directing agencies to doing the work yourself
