Working closely with cross-functional partners, you will develop product strategies, pricing approaches, and portfolio plans that create value for consumers and customers. You'll help identify new opportunities, bring innovative products to market, and thoughtfully evolve an established portfolio to meet changing customer needs and market trends.

We're looking for a collaborative and strategic product leader who enjoys connecting customer insights with business strategy. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, customer-focused, and data-informed, with a passion for innovation, a talent for building strong partnerships, and the ability to thoughtfully balance short-term priorities with long-term portfolio growth.

POSITION LOCATION: This is a hybrid position based in our world-class Deerfield campus, with flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. The campus offers vibrant, collaborative workspaces, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness, and recreation.

What you will be doing

  • Contribute to the overall Strategic Business Unit (SBU) direction by providing product portfolio expertise and helping align product strategies with Channel, Digital, Sales, and Brand priorities.
  • Own and help achieve revenue, profitability, and portfolio performance objectives across the Security product portfolio.
  • Shape and evolve the strategy for a large product portfolio by balancing the lifecycle management of existing products with the development of innovative new offerings.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Engineering, and Innovation teams to translate product strategies into successful products, guiding initiatives from concept through commercialization.
  • Develop pricing strategies and consumer segmentation approaches that create value for customers while supporting business objectives.
  • Use market trends, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities that strengthen the portfolio and inform future product investments.
  • Partner with Channel Marketing to support product launches, demand generation initiatives, and promotional strategies that drive meaningful business results.
  • Collaborate with Global Product Development to shape the long-term product roadmap, aligning priorities, resources, and timing to support innovation and future growth.
  • Continuously assess portfolio performance and identify opportunities for product introductions, enhancements, rationalization, and lifecycle decisions that strengthen the overall business.
  • Partner with Sales to support Product Line Reviews (PLRs) and Joint Business Planning (JBP) initiatives to contribute product expertise during key customer engagements.
  • Collaborate with Channel, Digital, and Brand Marketing teams to ensure customer-facing programs align with product strategy, brand positioning, and business priorities.
  • Partner across Finance, Marketing, and Product Development to develop pricing strategies that balance customer value, competitive positioning, and financial performance.
  • Work closely with Innovation and Consumer Insights teams to translate research and market feedback into future product opportunities and portfolio strategies.
  • Coach, develop, and empower a team of product management professionals, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and customer-focused culture that supports both individual and business success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of Product Management, Product Marketing, or related commercial leadership experience.
  • Experience in security, hardware, building products, consumer durables, or related industries.
  • Experience managing large product portfolios and delivering profitable business growth.
  • Experience leading new product development from concept through commercialization.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, portfolio strategy, pricing, and market analysis.
  • Experience with P&L ownership and financial decision-making.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20–30%.
