Director of Product Management, Literacy/ELA

WHAT WE SEEK

We’re searching for a Director of Product Management to lead the vision and success of our Literacy/ELA product line. In this role, you’ll shape the long-term strategy, guide our roadmap, and work closely with teams across the organization to bring impactful solutions to life. You’ll manage one team member and help them grow, while partnering with leaders across Engineering, UX, Marketing, and Sales to deliver products that truly make a difference for teachers and students.


 

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

  • Craft and champion a multi-year product strategy and roadmap for our Literacy/ELA product line.

  • Mentor and support your team, helping them develop strong product thinking and execution skills.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, UX, Marketing, and Sales to stay aligned on priorities and ensure smooth delivery.

  • Lead discovery to understand customer needs, market opportunities, and the competitive landscape.

  • Make smart decisions about where to invest based on customer impact, business value, and ROI.

  • Work with your team to turn strategy into clear, actionable team deliverables.

  • Monitor key metrics like adoption, revenue, and customer satisfaction — and use what you learn to inform next steps.

  • Contribute to annual planning, including budgets and resource needs.

  • Represent the Literacy/ELA product line in leadership conversations and serve as a thought leader internally and externally.


WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BOOKBAG

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Education, Computer Science, etc.); an advanced degree is a plus.

  • 7–10 years of experience in product management, ideally in EdTech, SaaS, or adjacent fields.

  • A track record of building and delivering product strategies that drive measurable outcomes.

  • Experience managing and developing team members is a plus — you lift others up and help them thrive.

  • Strong strategic thinking skills paired with the ability to execute and drive results.

  • Confidence in navigating conversations with leaders across the company.

  • A passion for improving teaching and learning, especially in Literacy/ELA.
