JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director, Product Management will oversee the intersection of three main components of the successful SaaS Product Strategy: defining and owning the product direction; building and growing a product team and fostering the product organization processes. Provide strategic leadership for the Product Stewardship software portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and advancing sustainability initiatives throughout the product lifecycle-from sourcing and design to end-of-life.

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $171,000 to $228,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 30% of the base salary and a 30% RSU grant. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (20 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate and translate corporate strategy into a clear and concise product vision, while maintaining a close linkage with UL Solutions Mission
- Define long-term vision (LRP, business case, capex) and translate business objectives into product portfolio strategy.
- Deep understanding of Product Stewardship domain, customer needs, outcomes, markets, & competitors to inform and develop product strategy.
- Chemical Regulatory & Compliance Leadership - Expertise in global chemical safety and compliance (GHS, PFAS) with proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into product strategies.
- Material Stewardship & Sustainable Design - Skilled in guiding material choices that balance performance, cost, compliance, and sustainability, applying life-cycle and safer substitution practices.
- Supply Chain Data Integration & Transparency - Experience building systems for supplier data collection and traceability to ensure compliance and sustainability across the product lifecycle.
- Evangelize and communicate the product vision, strategy and goals internally with senior leadership, as well as externally with client and prospect executives.
- Align and integrate product roadmaps across teams based on customer outcomes while engaging business, sales, engineering, marketing and customer success on priorities.
- Use the product vision in concert with deep market understanding to inform the product portfolio strategy.
- Evaluate market needs against UL's and competitors' unique abilities to address them.
- Develop and evaluate a go-to-market strategy describing how value will be delivered to the customer/user, how the product is differentiated from the competition, and what the business model should be.
- Prioritize high-level strategic initiatives into a product portfolio roadmap.
- Define a set of product portfolio goals, outcomes and corresponding metrics to continually evaluate against.
- Define and own portfolio level KPIs (growth, adoption, retention, NPS) and drive customer outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor's degree) in Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred
- Proven experience working with SaaS products, including developing strategy, driving adoption, and delivering customer value in a SaaS environment
- Deep understanding of Product Stewardship domain, customer needs, outcomes, markets, & competitors to inform and develop product strategy.
- 10 years or more of related discipline experience or demonstrated competency including 5 years or more of relevant management/leadership experience or demonstrated competency
- Experience managing platform / product teams
