The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment and possesses deep hands-on experience with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM). • Deal Desk Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Legal, and Sales Operations to review pending contracts. Provide guidance on deal structuring to optimize revenue outcomes and ensure compliance with GAAP. Serve as consultative resource to go-to-market teams prior to launching sales plays, partner programs, and sales incentive programs.
  • Month-End Close: Lead the revenue close process, including the review of journal entries, reconciliations, and the fluctuation analysis of deferred revenue and unbilled receivables. Lead the design and implementation of quarter-end and year-end analytics.
  • Audit & Compliance: Manage the relationship with external auditors for all revenue-related matters. Ensure internal controls are designed and operating effectively across the revenue cycle.
  • SaaS Metrics: Provide insights into key SaaS performance indicators (ARR, Churn, Net Retention, etc.) and how they intersect with GAAP revenue.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • ASC 606 Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the five-step model for revenue recognition within the software and SaaS industry.
  • NetSuite ARM Mastery: Direct, hands-on experience managing and/or auditing revenue within the NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management module.
  • SaaS Industry Background: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years specifically in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license is highly preferred.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex technical accounting standards into actionable business processes.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

If required for this role, you will:
