RUM Group Inc. is seeking a Director, Tax & Treasury to lead the Company’s tax strategy, tax compliance and reporting, cash management, banking relationships, liquidity planning, and treasury operations. This role will partner closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Finance leadership, Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Human Resources, and external advisors to protect the Company’s financial position, maintain compliance across relevant jurisdictions, optimize cash deployment, and support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, financing activities, and international expansion.

This is a senior finance leadership role for a commercially minded professional who can combine strong technical tax and treasury expertise with disciplined risk management and practical business judgment. You will lead the planning and execution of tax and treasury activities across a growing, multi-entity business, translating complex issues involving tax exposure, liquidity, debt, banking, foreign exchange, and capital deployment into clear recommendations for executive leadership. The role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and may lead tax and/or treasury team members as the function grows.

The ideal candidate brings experience in corporate tax, treasury, public accounting, corporate finance, or a combination of related disciplines. You should be comfortable working across a complex operating environment, managing external advisors and banking partners, improving financial processes and controls, and balancing compliance requirements with the Company’s growth, financing, infrastructure, and international business priorities. Treasury leaders commonly own cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, working-capital optimization, banking relationships, and financial risk management; this role combines those responsibilities with company-wide tax leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead RUM Group’s tax strategy, tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax-planning activities across applicable U.S. and international jurisdictions. Oversee the quarterly and annual income-tax provision process, tax filings, estimated payments, tax elections, documentation, internal controls, audits, examinations, notices, and tax controversy matters. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulatory requirements, assess business impact, and recommend practical actions that support compliance, manage risk, and improve tax efficiency.

Lead treasury operations, including cash positioning, liquidity monitoring, cash-flow forecasting, banking administration, payment controls, short-term investments, and working-capital optimization. Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, letters of credit, guarantees, covenant compliance, and related lender reporting. Establish and maintain treasury policies, controls, delegations of authority, and processes that protect Company assets, improve cash visibility, and reduce financial and fraud risk.

Serve as a strategic advisor to the CFO and executive leadership on tax exposure, liquidity, financing, capital deployment, financial risk, and other high-impact decisions. Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, HR, Payroll, and external advisors on tax reporting, transaction structuring, acquisitions, financing activities, international operations, equity compensation, and cross-border matters. Lead and develop tax and/or treasury team members, manage external advisors and banking partners, and provide clear reporting to executive leadership, the Board, and Audit Committee as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax, treasury, public accounting, corporate finance, or a combination of related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading tax compliance, tax provision, tax planning, treasury operations, cash management, banking relationships, debt administration, or a combination of these areas.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable tax principles, financial-reporting requirements, internal controls, cash-management practices, and treasury best practices.
  • Experience managing tax compliance and reporting requirements across multiple entities, jurisdictions, or business lines.
  • Experience developing cash-flow forecasts, liquidity plans, working-capital strategies, and executive reporting.
  • Experience managing banking partners, external tax advisors, lenders, consultants, or other critical third-party relationships.
  • Experience with ERP, treasury-management, tax-provision, and financial-planning systems, along with advanced Excel and financial-modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail, particularly in complex, high-impact financial matters.
  • Ability to distill technical tax, treasury, financing, and financial-risk matters into clear, practical recommendations for executive stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver reliable results in a fast-moving environment.
  • High integrity, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential financial, legal, and employee-related information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA, CA, CMA, CFA, CTP, or an advanced degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. The CTP designation is administered by the Association for Financial Professionals and covers corporate cash and treasury-management competencies.[165][166][169]
  • Experience in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional, or international business environment.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, corporate restructuring, purchase accounting, or rapid-growth environments.
  • Experience evaluating tax implications related to international expansion, cross-border financing, intercompany funding, foreign exchange, or global cash-management structures.
  • Experience supporting public-company financial reporting, Audit Committee materials, debt compliance, or investor-facing financial processes.
  • Experience identifying and implementing scalable controls, systems, automation, workflows, or reporting improvements across tax and treasury functions.
Leadership

Lead, develop, and mentor tax and/or treasury team members, creating clear accountability, strong technical capability, and a service-oriented operating culture. Manage external advisors, banking partners, consultants, and other third parties to ensure effective delivery, cost discipline, and alignment with organizational priorities. Work collaboratively across Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Operations, and executive leadership to build scalable, well-controlled tax and treasury capabilities that support the Company’s continued growth.
