We are looking for a Drainage Engineer in our Chicago, IL office.
The Impact You’ll Make
- Conduct field visits to project sites to observe project conditions.
- Produce highway drainage designs, models, calculations and Phase I Drainage Studies.
- Produce drainage and utility plans.
- Produce drainage schedules.
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses.
- Prepare drainage related regulatory permits.
- Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants.
The Expertise You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of drainage design experience required
- IL PE is required
- BSCE is required
- CFM is a plus
- IDOT drainage design experience in Microstation, Open Roads Designer, and stormwater modeling software including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM and HY-8.
- Ability to provide guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
- Ability to monitor project progress with respect to project budgets, scope of work, and schedules.

Compensation & Pay Transparency
At Egis, we believe transparency helps candidates make informed career decisions. As part of our commitment to an open and equitable hiring process, we've included the anticipated base salary range for this position below.
Anticipated Base Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 annually.
We're committed to making competitive offers that recognize the unique experience, expertise, and value each candidate brings to our team.
In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive compensation, where applicable, as well as professional development opportunities, and other employee programs.
