Provide first-line technical support and training for Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs), monitor ELD data for FMCSA/HOS compliance, generate compliance reports, troubleshoot hardware/software/connectivity issues, escalate recurring problems, and keep company practices aligned with federal and state ELD regulations.
We are searching for a knowledgeable and passionate ELD Specialist to join our team. In this essential role, you will use your expertise in Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and FMCSA compliance to support drivers, dispatchers, and fleet management. You’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant transportation operations across our company.
Key Responsibilities for ELD Support and Compliance- Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for ELD hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Train drivers, dispatchers, and team members on proper ELD usage, Hours of Service (HOS), and best practices for electronic log maintenance.
- Monitor ELD data for compliance, identify exceptions, and generate necessary reports for safety audits and FMCSA mandates.
- Communicate with drivers and fleet managers to resolve ELD-related questions promptly and professionally.
- Document and escalate recurring issues to ELD vendors or internal IT for resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state ELD regulations, ensuring company practices are current and fully compliant.
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with ELD systems or related technology in the trucking, logistics, or transportation industry.
- Solid understanding of FMCSA ELD regulations and Hours of Service rules.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to guide end users through ELD problem-solving steps.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with a customer-focused approach to support.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with major ELD vendors and telematics platforms
- Experience preparing compliance and incident reports related to ELD usage.
- Bi- or multilingual communication abilities are highly valued.
- Previous training experience with adult learners preferred.
- Comfortable working in hybrid, remote, or on-site transportation environments.
- Deliver prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable ELD support to drivers and staff.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements for ELD compliance and reporting.
