Position Title: Email & SMS Marketing Intern

Internship Term: Fall 2026

Compensation: College credit [MUST be enrolled in college course]

Desired Fields of Study: Digital Marketing, Advertising, Analytics

Hours Desired: 15-20/week

A day in the life:

  • The Email & SMS Marketing Internship is a hands-on internship where you’ll have the opportunity to get real-world email & SMS marketing experience in a fast-paced, super fun environment. You’ll learn the inner-workings of email & SMS campaigns and automations and how all of the moving pieces fit together to make a lifecycle program successful. If you’re a quick learner with a positive attitude, then this is the perfect internship for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Understand lifecycle marketing best practices, strategies, and processes
  • Learn how to execute email & SMS campaigns within multiple different lifecycle platforms
  • Create email & SMS campaign calendars for a variety of clients
  • Write custom email & SMS copy to speak to different groups of contacts
  • Segment campaign audiences based on past customer behavior and demographic data
  • Build out targeted customer journeys based on previous site activity and purchase data
  • Analyze email & SMS performance and report on findings while providing strategic recommendations for the future
  • Optimize the lifecycle user experience based on learnings from performance data and A/B testing results
  • Assist the lifecycle team with ad hoc projects including reporting, execution, copywriting, etc.
  • Participate in end of semester project to demonstrate learnings in a client deliverable format
