[What the role is]
The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment. We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment[What you will be working on]
You will be required to review design and conformance to safety standards of lift and escalators.
You will carry out in depth study, testing, verification and failure analysis on electronic hardware and software programmes in relation to lifts and escalators.
Additionally, you will be doing field inspection and investigation of incidents and provide technical support to your team.
[What we are looking for]
Trained in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering from a university recognised by the Professional Engineers Board
Registered/attaining registration as a professional mechanical or electrical engineer with the Professional Engineers Board will be an advantage.
Experience in the design and/or maintenance of lifts and/or escalators or in a related field such as lifting equipment.
Good oral communication and report writing skills are essential
Successful candidates will be offered contract employment.
