Who We’re Looking For: Are you ready to jumpstart your career in engineering? Atkore is seeking dynamic, driven, and innovative Engineering students for our Summer Internship. If you thrive in a team environment, possess strong leadership skills, and have a knack for problem-solving with a strategic mindset, we want you on our team. This 8-10 week summer internship for 2026 offers a unique opportunity to work out of our Harvey, IL facility, contributing directly to projects that matter.

What You’ll Do:

  • Innovate: Design and contribute to the development of new products, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
  • Optimize: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine standard work processes, sharing best practices along the way.
  • Implement Lean: Apply Lean principles like 5S and Standard Work to ensure efficiency and excellence in all our processes.
  • Problem-Solve: Tackle and eliminate chronic issues using advanced problem-solving techniques.
  • Drive Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance our manufacturing processes and overall efficiency.
  • Hands-On Learning: Gain real-world experience in process control, protocol writing, and validation of new/improved materials.
  • And More: Dive into a variety of tasks and projects that will challenge you and help you grow.

What You’ll Bring:

  • You’re an Engineering student graduating by Spring 2027.
  • You have experience in leadership roles, whether in school, extracurricular activities, or other organizations.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D design software is a plus (bonus points for hands-on experience).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

We do not offer relocation assistance or housing for our internship program.
