Engineering Manager - Mechanical Analysis Services (Remote Eligible, U.S)
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Manager of the Mechanical Analysis Services Team will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will define organizational objectives in alignment with business strategy, support customers, integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, foster employee growth and manage complex issues within the team’s functional areas area of expertise.
Essential responsibilities include the following:
Provide engineering leadership and manage team members providing engineering analysis support to the engineering community and external customers.
Work with Engineering and Commercial Leaders to define and support customer and business expectations.
Assure work plans are in alignment with defined objectives, are resourced appropriately to meet the schedule and communicate status of work effectively.
Meet customer commitments and drive continuous improvement.
Represent GEH to customers, nuclear regulators and at industry meetings such as conferences.
Manage resolution of process deviations, errors and other adverse condition reports as part of the corrective action system.
Conduct and participate in design reviews.
Enhance employee capabilities through focused work assignments, specific development activities, coaching, training and mentoring.
Effectively manage multiple priorities.
Maintain technical processes and procedures.
Foster integrity, safety, and quality as the most important priorities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or University.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a technology or engineering role.
Eligibility Requirements:
The preferred work location for this role is at the GVH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC but highly qualified remote (U.S based) candidates will be considered.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
Desired Characteristics:
Advanced degree in Engineering or Science Discipline from an accredited college or university.
Prior experience leading employees and/or complex projects.
Experience performing structural analysis for reactor vessel and components, in particular, those requiring ASME Code compliance.
Working knowledge of finite element analyses using ANSYS.
Strong understanding of BWR reactor systems and components.
Knowledge of quality assurance requirements for engineering computer programs.
Strong communication and writing skills and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments.
Strong facilitation, team building, communication and interpersonal skills.
Competence managing projects. Knowledge of project management techniques.
Strong analytical capabilities, problem solving and process skills.
Ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative environment.
A self-starter willing to take initiative.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
