Job Description

The Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Analyst primary responsibility is to ensure the maintenance of data quality within EAM as the system of records for the Department of Water Management (DWM), strategizing improvement plans for inventory processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in asset and work order data management. Analyzing data and conducting research to diagnose problems is integral to the role, requiring a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to addressing data-related challenges, leveraging SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) knowledge and tools to navigate and manipulate data effectively.

Supporting day-to-day operations, the EAM Analyst is responsible for tasks such as creating, adding, and deactivating users and user groups, as well as adding new fields and creating data spies. The role will also include providing training sessions for DWM and internal EAM users, creating Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), and gathering requirements for reporting. Additionally, an EAM analyst will contribute to system enhancements by creating commodity codes, managing contract and price updates in the system, and actively participating in the continuous improvement of EAM processes. This multifaceted role will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of asset data and supporting the operational efficiency of the EAM system.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain data quality and reliability of assets, inventory, and work order data within EAM as DMW’s system of record.
  • Use SQL and BI tools to analyze data, identify issues and recommend improvements to data quality and operational efficiency.
  • Support day-to-day system functions including user access, field configuration, data spies, and contract and pricing updates.
  • Gather requirements and support the development and validation of reports that enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify and support enhancements to asset, inventory, and work order management process.
  • Deliver user training, create Quick Reference Guides, and provide ongoing functional support to EAM users.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS and 2+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with SQL and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Demonstrated experience improving data quality or business processes, including inventory management, asset lifecycle tracking, or work order optimization.
  • Experience supporting end users in a regulated or public sector environment.
  • Experience configuring and supporting CMMS platforms, including maintenance workflows and reporting.
