Role:

The Risk Analyst role requires a detail-oriented individual who is organized and methodical. The role involves daily client vetting, reviewing and analyzing new Heidrick clients based off a set of criteria for certain risk factors. This role plays a critical part in supporting Heidrick’s commitment to ensuring we work with the right clients and maintaining our outstanding reputation. This role will report into the Assistant General Counsel, based in Sydney, and also provide overall support to the Legal team.

Responsibilities:

Client Vetting and Background Checks

• Review and analyze due diligence reports to identify and assess risks associated with new and existing clients.

• Determine the risk level of clients based on findings and established criteria, escalating higher risk cases as needed for further investigation or management review.

• Document risk assessments and recommendations with clear, evidence-based rationale.

• Manage and own the work stream for the client vetting process; escalate issues based off a set of risk criteria.

• Manage background checks of On-Demand Talent consultants, including: o Exercise judgment to review escalations of consultant background check discrepancies against company and client policies where applicable; and

Collaborate with in-house counsel to conduct individualized assessment process for criminal history findings for consultant employees.

• Identify and implement due diligence/background check process improvements.

Team Support and Collaboration

• Provide project and administrative support to the Chief Legal Officer and other members of the Legal team in a broad array of matters including: preparing and managing training materials, scheduling and planning team meetings, research, assisting with correspondence and other ad hoc matters as needed

• Collaborate with other Heidrick teams including Client Operations, Contract Administration and Finance.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school degree

  • Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.

  • Strong commitment to ethics, integrity, and sound judgment, with the ability to manage confidential information responsibly.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

  • Skilled in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data from multiple sources to identify key insights, risks, and issues with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated success in collaborating across diverse teams and functional areas.

  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written and listening.

  • Highly proficient with technology tools, including Latitude, Box, and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Professional services experience preferred

Pay Range Guidelines for this Position:

The salary range for this position is 65000 USD to 82000 USD. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience and skills. In addition to your salary, Heidrick & Struggles offers discretionary bonuses (subject to eligibility requirements) and a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, disability leave, parental leave, paid time off and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Note: we have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
