Requirements and Responsibilities
- Essay Refinement and Editing
- Asynchronously provide written constructive feedback on drafts, focusing on clarity, structure and coherence, grammar, style, and overall impact.
All feedback will be provided by a human as the use of AI is strictly prohibited in the essay editing process.
Help students enhance storytelling, strengthen their voice, and convey their intended messages through technical writing skills.
Have consistent availability throughout our peak season of August through January to provide feedback to students within 24 hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Graduated from a top 50 university in the United States.
Background in college admissions preferred, not mandatory.
Prior experience in editing, tutoring, or coaching writing, preferably with high school students.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
Ability to provide constructive criticism in a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental manner.
Patience and empathy for students navigating the college application process.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
