The Senior Project Manager plays a key role in driving optimization and transformation across the Enterprise organization. The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience in project management. This role will be responsible for the daily management and smooth operations of various large-scale and complex projects across our Enterprise functions (IT, Security, Finance Technology, Data & Analytics, People Operations) and our Vertical Business Units. The Senior Project Manager will be accountable for managing multiple cross-functional projects concurrently, developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders, assessing and mitigating expected and unexpected risks, and driving clarity across the effort when faced with ambiguity or challenges. This role will be expected to leverage project management methodologies and principles to lead stakeholders through change by showcasing a high degree of emotional intelligence and ownership, building strong relationships with Enterprise and Vertical partners, and displaying a track record of successful delivery (i.e., on time, on budget, within scope) that builds trust.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and manage multiple assigned projects across the Enterprise team from start to finish on time, tailoring project methodologies to best fit the initiative (waterfall, hybrid, agile, etc.).
- Develop and execute project plans, including stakeholder analysis, scope identification, defining deliverables, and plans for cross-functional communication, risk management, and change management.
- Manage the project teams’ work via Asana and ensure that actions are tracked and completed.
- Communicate expectations of project roles and responsibilities to project stakeholders clearly, driving ownership and holding team members accountable via regular meetings and asynchronous engagement.
- Own the organization and documentation of all project relevant artifacts with minimal support.
- Develop and maintain project status reports, communicating the impact and value of the project work to the business and relevant strategic goals, and communicating action, upcoming priorities, risks and mitigation activities, and support or escalation needed.
- Capture, surface, and manage/mitigate risk while providing clear project guidance to relevant stakeholders, implementing change request or escalation processes, as required.
- Drive continuous improvement on projects by optimizing workflows and project management processes to support an efficient project lifecycle and improve the Enterprise PMO's center of excellence.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify dependencies, support capacity planning, streamline workflows, and fostering an efficient project environment.
- Maintain relationships with key project stakeholders and functional leaders across Enterprise and Vertical functions to ensure a smooth workflow and drive efficiencies.
- Collaborate with Project and Program Managers, particularly when managing project(s) that make up a larger program of transformation work.
- Showcase the ability to influence without authority, leading others through change by operating with empathy and managing and resolving conflict when needed, and driving structure to minimize distractions for the project team to allow them to focus on the right things.
- Demonstrate an elevated level of initiative with the ability to work independently, focus on providing solutions, taking ownership of assignments with minimal direction and generally being self-motivated.
Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CAPM,PMP, ACP) are a plus.
- 5+ years of project management experience, ideally at a technology company or consultancy.
- Advanced understanding and application of diverse project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), showcasing adaptability and the ability to tailor approaches based on project needs.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale projects, showcasing the ability to navigate complexities, resistance to change, and deliver results within established timelines and budgets.
- Experience utilizing Asana or other project management software.
- Familiarity with Enterprise systems (Salesforce, Marketo, Workday, Zuora, NetSuite, etc.) a plus.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills; ability to drive clarity, decision-making and alignment in a cross-functional environment.
- Display high magnitude of executive presence in written communication and through presentations with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Proficiency in risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and change management, coupled with a strategic mindset to proactively address project challenges with directness and sensitivity.
Where: The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States - if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
